Biographical history

Jean E. Crozier earned a BSc degree in geography from the University of Alberta, followed by a degree in library and information technology from McEwan University. Crozier founded an information management consulting business called Crozier Information Services in the 1980s.

Crozier published a non-fiction book about her family history called No Corner Boys Here, which won a Bronze Medal for Best Non-Fiction Canada West from the Independent Publishers Book Awards (2008). As a writer, Crozier also led writing workshops and offered writing mentorship services.

Crozier held executive positions in the Canadian Library Association and the Association of Records Managers and Administrators. She was also involved with the Alberta Women’s Memory Project, Pro Coro Canada, the Writers Guild of Alberta, the Friends of the Provincial Museum, the Old Strathcona Foundation, and the University of Alberta Alumni Council. Crozier was chosen as one of Alberta’s 50 most influential people by Alberta Venture Magazine (1996) and was a finalist in the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (1993). Crozier also received the SAGE Award for Business and Entrepreneurship (2009).
