Reverend C. E. Thomson attended Upper Canada College and Trinity University. He served at the Anglican parish of St. John the Evangelist at Elora, Canada West (later Ontario) from 1857-1877. He was later made rector to St. Marks parish in Toronto where he passed away in 1903.
