An album of photographs by an unidentified but accomplished photographer, with some commercial photos from Barclay and Steele & Co. mixed throughout. The album documents a trip across Canada, from sea to sea, taking place in the late 1800s. Many scenes in British Columbia, the Rocky Mountains, the Prairies (including Aboriginals and cowboys), and Ontario and Quebec, but the album does not seem to be arranged chronologically.

Postcard from G. M. Burgoyne in Calgary to Rev. J. G. Goddard in Liverpool, England. Mentions a trip to Banff and a stop in Calgary prior to returning home to Ponoka. Image is a composite photo depicting a train car with a load of giant chickens. Caption reads “A carload of extra fine Alberta chickens. No. 87.”

Typescript of a research report by Allen Ronaghan regarding the location of the site of Fort Ostell, near the town of Ponoka, Alberta [Section 5, Township 43, Range 25, W4]. The author describes a firsthand account by a Mr. Johnny Crier of the Samson Reserve near Maskwacis, who reported seeing the ruins of Fort Ostell "when he was about fifteen", and who took the author to see the location. The author notes that while they did not find anything, "it is about sixty-five years since Mr. Crier saw the ruins" and he nonetheless believes that "Mr. Crier was right about the location of the fort", based on other historical records.

Additionally includes a hand-drawn map of Section 5, showing where the author has determined that Fort Ostell was located in relation to various landmarks and to the town of Ponoka.

The plan consists of a master title page which includes a key of signs, an index, and 8 detail sheets of the town. On the cover of the plan, there is a note indicating that the plan was made by and is the property of the Underwriters’ Survey Bureau Limited. The copyright for the plan is registered in Ottawa, Ontario. No copy number or issue recipient is. listed. Each page of the detail sheets display various streets and buildings in the city of Ponoka and the colour of each building indicates the type of construction material used for that particular building. This particular plan consists of residential neighbourhoods, industrial and retail complexes, and main streets.
