Biographical history
English scholar, Theatre critic, 1922- . Professor Bilsland was a member of the Department of English, 1955-1957 and 1959-1985. His publications include essays on writers of the Romantic period, on Canadian literature, and on the teaching of English. For several years he was a theatre critic for the Edmonton Journal and for CBC and CKUA radio stations.
