In addition, in printed text, each form includes the terms and conditions associated with making an application to the brotherhood.
Contains a list of handwritten entries, identifying beneficiaries in the event of death of members of union, organized alphabetically. Each entry includes the name of the member, the beneficiary, the relationship between the two, membership information, and the date and number of the relevant beneficiary certificate.

Most correspondence are incoming letters to Dr Bell sent to the Geological survey headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, from locations across Canada. The field notes in Series 2 are arranged chronologically.

Most of the ephemera are from the mid-twentieth century, but the dates are as early as 1909 and as late as 2000. Many of the items in this collection also cover outdoor recreational activities popular at their time of creation.

There is also a collection of his student notebooks and University of Alberta lecture notes.
