There are also materials relating to the live-action adaptation of the first novel The Golden Compass that include activity books, game guides, magazines, and movie novelizations, and a collection of non-fiction work written about the His Dark Materials series, as well as works relating to the stage-play of the series, including a script and works on the play. It consists of two pamphlets from the University of Alberta, one dealing with the Graduate Student Association awards night, and one detailing research at the University of Alberta. There are also materials relating to the 1995 conference "Intersecting Disciplines: Issues in Comparative Studies", including: an advertisement flyer, a program, and a paper proposal submitted by Dr. Margaret Mackey on "Cultural Diversity and Learning: Plural Narratives and Consequences for Children". It also contains a banner for "The Commercial Face of Children's Literature: The Commodification of a Classic".

The correspondences are on cards, scrap paper, and email printouts from listservs. Some correspondences were sent with other materials such as articles, and media software (floppy discs).
