Accession consists of Faculty of Medicine photographs and memorabilia collected by Elise Corbet for her research. The photographs depict interns at Misericordia Hospital, Dr. T. J. Agnew, John R. Collip, John B. Collip, James B. Collip, doctors at the University of Alberta Hospital, the Clinical Sciences Building, and the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre. The accession also contains a Med Nite program and a letter from J. H. Riopel to Dr. L. Orr.

Corbet's book about the history of the University of Alberta's Faculty of Medicine, "Frontiers of Medicine: A History of Medical Education and Research at the University of Alberta" (1990). The photographs date from 1919-1980. The photographs depict Harry E. Gunning, Dr. Robert S. Fraser, Michael James, the Medical Hockey Team, the Osler Club, Students' Union Presidents, a game between Medicine and Engineering, the Medical Sciences Building, a letter from J. B. Collip to H. M. Tory, and a program from a course.

The contents of the accession reflect Ellen Schoeck’s research process during the creation of her book Taking Care, as well as her experience as Director of the University Secretariat, a position through which she served a number of University presidents over a period of 28 years, including Myer Horowitz. Textual records consist of Schoeck’s research materials for Taking Care, and include photocopies of articles, yearbook pages, and reports, as well as interviews and other documents related to campus housing and alumni from the 1950s until present. Photographs and film negatives are from Schoeck’s time as Director of the University Secretariat, and are arranged chronologically according to the University president in office at the time, illustrating the experience working in the senior administration office through various presidencies.
