A hotel register of guest names from August 1922 to November 1924. The register pages are divided into five columns to mark down the date, the name of the guest, their town of residence, their room number at the hotel, and their time of arrival, although it is primarily only the name, residence, and room columns that are used in this ledger. The name of the hotel is not mentioned in the register, although the majority of the guests resided in towns in Alberta, primarily Edmonton, so presumably the hotel was also in Alberta. On the inside of the back cover, there are several handwritten notes regarding price charges to specific guests.

Three years telling Ottawa that Financial Dictatorship will not be tolerated but Ottawa says the Banks must be protected. A pamphlet written by William Irvine ca. 1940, in rebuttal to "The Records Tell the Story", a political pamphlet produced by the Alberta Social Credit Party government in 1939.

"The purpose of this pamphlet is to reply and in doing so give the proof that "The Records Tell the Story" does not tell the truth, but that the official records to which it sends us for verification says the very opposite in some important instances to that which is claimed by the publication in question. Is it because the Government knows that 99 per cent of the electorate will never see the official record and therefore will never verify the "story" that it has permitted so many falsehoods to be published?"

Peel discusses various authors and literary works from or relating to the Prairie provinces, including poetry, prose fiction, and nonfiction works. In the article, Peel names authors such as Henry Kelsey; Pierre Falcon; J. S. Major; Nicholas Flood Davin; Rhoda Sivell; Stephan G. Stephansson; John Greenleaf Whittier; Bertram Tennyson; Rudyard Kipling; R. M. Ballantyne; John Mackie; C. F. A. Saxby; W. L. Amy [Luke Allan]; Maurice Constantin-Weyer; Somerset Maugham; Sinclair Lewis; and Thomas Spence.

"There has been much more written about the Prairie scene than you think. It includes some famous writers such as Maugham and Sinclair Lewis. First writing dates away back to 1691. It is still going on."
