The accession comprises textual records including the written history, scrapbook, newspaper clippings, articles, notes and correspondence regarding the University of Alberta Golden Bears Football Team and the Golden Bowl game played November 16, 1963.
The accession consists of two original field survey books and a blue-print copy of a traverse survey plan that was carried on the U of A campus in 1966 by M. Lukomskyj, Dominion and Alberta Land Surveyor.
The contents of the accession spans across almost fifty years and provides valuable insight into the development of Peel's Bibliography of the Canadian Prairies and Peel’s Prairie Provinces database. Mostly textual records and correspondence, the records depict efforts to find and select published works for the bibliographies, various stages of the book’s completion, and conversations between Peel staff and other institutions and individuals that went into the creation of the Bibliographies.

The fonds comprises a broad scope of records comprising mainly of textual materials reflective of his teaching, research travel and role as a professor of plant pathology during his tenure with the University of Alberta.
