Poster warning settlers and others against cutting timber on government lands under pain of prosecution. Explains that homesteaders "having no timber of their own" can apply for a Free Permit from an Agent of the Crown to cut a quantity of timber not exceeding 1800 Lineal feet of Building Logs, 400 Roof Polls, 2000 Poplar Fence Rails, and 30 cords of dry Wood for fuel. Any settlers or others not entitled to the Free Permit can apply for a Permit to cut timber at rate, and includes list of rates.

Liability of Persons Cutting Timber Without Authority explains the punishment for cutting timber without a permit.

Additionally includes an envelope addressed to Stuart Criddle, Esq. and stamped 22 May 1936.

A bound copy of two volumes of the Canadian Rusyn publication, printed in Ukrainian. When translated the English, the title of each publication is “Calendar.”The first volume was published in 1918 and the second volume was published in 1919. The covers and binding appear handmade from hide. The two volumes when translated to English contain articles about current events and cultural events relevant to the Ukrainian settlers in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Throughout the volumes, there are multiple illustrations and photographs. The volumes also include several advertisements for local companies.

The plan consists of two Master Title pages with a Standard Key of Signs and numerous detail sheets. After the title pages there is a General Key Plan page with a sticker adhered to it indicating that particular sheet has been cancelled and to refer to the new general key instead. On the first cover page, there is a note indicating that the plan was made by The Western Canada Insurance Underwriters’ Association in Winnipeg, Manitoba. On the second cover page, there is a note indicating the plan was made in Canada by the Underwriters’ Survey Bureau. This particular plan is listed as Copy No. 42 and was issued to St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company. The first cover page mentioned appears to be an addition to the plan from a previous plan. Each page of the detail sheets displays various streets and buildings in the city of Edmonton and the colour of each building indicates the type of construction material used for that particular building. This plan consists primarily of residential areas on the North side of the North Saskatchewan River.

No."; or 4 - Collect], Number Called, and Amount [in dollars] for each long-distance call made from Donald McFadden's telephone number. The invoice also includes the total amount [in dollars] due on the account.

All but two receipts are stamped in black ink with the date and "Received Payment".

Contents include a series of receipts for income tax deductions and Canada Pension Plan [CPP]; 2 "Notices of Assessment", 1 from the Manitoba Workmen's Compensation Board and 1 under the Income Tax Act; insurance payments [life; fire; hail insurance]; farm and personal loan payments; bank transaction receipts; and various household and farm- or business-related purchases such as stationery, chemicals, small hardware, fuel, etc.

Additionally includes 12 handwritten notes, dated between 27 January 1967 and 31 December 1967, which contain details of various payments made by or to Donald McFadden for personal or business-related purchases. Package consists of a CCC-branded folder containing a press release; "The Canola Council of Canada Strategic Plan" booklet; and "The Science" booklet.

The press release, titled "Canada's Canola Industry Sets Bold New Targets for 2025", outlines the contents of the strategic plan and the canola industry's three priorities for reaching the targets.

Priorities include:
Priority 1: Sustainable, Reliable Supply - "Sustainably and profitably increase annual canola production in Canada to meet global demand for 26 million tonnes of Canadian canola by increasing yield to an average of 52 bushels per acre. Improve quality characteristics of seed, oil and meal to meet new and existing customer requirements".
Priority 2: Differentiated Value in the Marketplace - "Meet global demand of 26 million tonnes by differentiating and demonstrating the quality characteristics of seed, oil and meal to meet new and existing customer requirements at a competitive price."
Priority 3: Stable and Open Trade - "Creating a competitive, stable and open trade environment that consistently allows the industry to attain the maximum value for canola and its products free of tariff and non-tariff trade barriers."

The "Strategic Plan" booklet, alternately titled "It's Amazing What One More Bushel of Canadian Canola Can Do", contains information about the CCC's history; mission statement; Industry Goal and Strategic Priorities; and their plans to achieve the goal and 2025 targets.

The collection also includes two newspaper clippings. One article details a farm policy, and the other is titled “Farm setup under attack.” The name D.J. McFadden" is handwritten in pencil on one of the documents.

A collection of communications from the Manitoba Telephone System to Donald McFadden regarding service usage and costs. "Customer's Copy" receipts from each month of 1965 show charges for long distance and exchange service. A "Statement of Remittance" for $2.50 is marked "Received" and is attached to a carbon copy receipt for a half hour tractor rental. Breakdowns of long distance charges are listed by date show the receiving location of outgoing calls and the charged amount, with all entries checked off in blue pen. The backs of the sheets contain a "partial list of abbreviations" of locations within the province of Manitoba. Included is an empty envelope self-addressed to the Manitoba Telephone System, which has been crossed out and "Receipts (Income)" written above in pen, likely to be used as a divider in a filing system.

A collection of meeting minutes from the Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board annual meetings. There is one minutes document for each year from 1970 to 1989. The majority of the meetings were held at the International Inn in Winnipeg, Manitoba, although several were also held at the Niakwa Motor Hotel and the Ramada Inn in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Each document lists the date and location of the meeting and provides details about the topics discussed. Several of the minutes documents include appendices. At each meeting elections for district representatives took place and were recorded in the minutes. Some of the other discussion topics for the meetings included national marketing, auditor reports, reports from the chairman, interactions with the Canada Department of Agriculture, fire insurance, budgets, by-laws, and producer board reports.
