An insurance plan of the city of Edmonton, Alberta from November 1959. This particular plan is marked as Vol. 1. The plan consists of two Master Title pages with a Standard Key of Signs and numerous detail sheets. After the title pages there is a General Key Plan page with a sticker adhered to it indicating that particular sheet has been cancelled and to refer to the new general key instead. On the first cover page, there is a note indicating that the plan was made by The Western Canada Insurance Underwriters’ Association in Winnipeg, Manitoba. On the second cover page, there is a note indicating the plan was made in Canada by the Underwriters’ Survey Bureau. This particular plan is listed as Copy No. 42 and was issued to St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company. The first cover page mentioned appears to be an addition to the plan from a previous plan. Each page of the detail sheets displays various streets and buildings in the city of Edmonton and the colour of each building indicates the type of construction material used for that particular building. This plan consists primarily of residential areas on the North side of the North Saskatchewan River.

The brochure provides information about various types of soybeans, their characteristics, and what the soybean plants look like at various stages of growth. The brochure also includes several bar graphs depicting soybean yield results by various planting methods in 2017. On the back of the brochure, there is the contact information for numerous SeCan retail locations across the Prairies, and a note indicating that SeCan is listed as a subsidiary of Monsanto Canada, Inc.

The Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency Annual Report for 1993. The report was created for the twentieth annual meeting and was prepared for presentation to the Federal Minister of Agriculture and the National Farm Products Council. The annual meeting was held in Ottawa, Ontario on March 30, 1994. The report contains a list of staff and directors, a message from the Chairman, an executive report, a marketing report, various charts depicting market growth and turkey production, and various financial statements. When the report is flipped over and turned upside down, the report is duplicated in French.

The collection includes documents such as “Manitoba’s Comments on the Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency,” veterinary reports, quota allocation formulas, bundles of correspondence, “What Farmers Should Known About Bill C-176,” news reports, a draft of “Overview Paper in Economic Intervention and Regulation in Canadian Agriculture,” and several others. The collection also includes two newspaper clippings. One article details a farm policy, and the other is titled “Farm setup under attack.” The name D.J. McFadden" is handwritten in pencil on one of the documents.

A collection of meeting minutes from the National Turkey Co-ordinating Committee meetings. The minutes range from September 9, 1969, to November 15, 1972. The locations of the meetings are listed as the Airport Inn in Vancouver, British Columbia, Holiday Inn in Ottawa, Ontario, International Inn in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Blue Boy Motor Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, U.C.C. Offices in Montreal, Quebec, North Star Inn in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Vagabond Motor Inn in Regina, Saskatchewan, Airline Inn in Calgary, Alberta, and Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina, Saskatchewan. Each document lists the date, location, and the names of people present for the meeting, and provides details about the topics discussed. Some of the discussion topics for the meetings included various reports from committees, radio promotion, marketing research, discussions of Bill C-176, national marketing plans, and provincial reports. The name "D. McFadden" is handwritten in pencil along the top edge of the first document.

The ledger is divided into sections with coloured tabs, labels read "Inventory & Net Worth," "Farm Expenses," "Farm Income," "Problem Transactions," "Labor Records," "Accounts Payable & Receivable," "Cash Flow," "Physical Records," and "Income Tax." Laid-in before the first page is a letter from Mel Jones on behalf of Statistics Canada to Mr Donald J. McFadden regarding the "Census of Agriculture test questionnaire." Jones responds to specific comments made by McFadden on the questionnaire and thanks him for his input. The blank account book was included with the correspondence "as an example" of recent progress in updating record-keeping methods for farmers.

Wolfe, President of the Canadian Turley Federation. The brief provides an overview of the workings of the Federation as well as expresses grievances over the inability of Canadian turkey producers to “compete with prices [of surplus turkeys] brought about by reckless overproduction in the United States.” The brief claims the cheaper options offered by the United States are “creating buyers’ resistance to the Canadian Turkey Product” and provides several alternative trade principles to reduce the United States' influence on the Canadian poultry industry. A collection of correspondence letters primarily between The Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board, the Ministry of Agriculture for Manitoba, and the Legislative Building in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The majority of the letters from the marketing board are addressed to Premier Walter Weir of Manitoba, Douglas Watt from the Manitoba Ministry of Agriculture, and H.A. Olson the Minister of Agriculture at the House of Commons in Ottawa, Canada. The majority of the letters addressed to various government officials were written by John P. Tanchak, chairman of The Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board. The letters are dated between April 19, 1968 and November 29, 1968. Three letters are undated, two of which are marked as drafts. The correspondences discuss various issues relating to marketing regulations, policy creation, and trade restrictions for turkey producers in Manitoba. The collection also includes a letter from a Canada Department of Agriculture Health of Animals Branch veterinarian who discusses methods for measuring the weight of condemned turkey carcasses.

The booklet was published in 1950. Leader’s Handbook published by the Canadian Council on Boys’ and Girls’ Club Work in Ottawa, Ontario. The handbook is meant for volunteer leaders of Girl and Boy Scout troops. The handbook covers topics such as local club organization, first steps in forming a new club, responsibilities of officers, committees, and members, special community activities, programme planning, parent interest, and common parliamentary procedure among others. Shutt, a chemist for federal experimental farms, and published in August 1910. It was published by the order of Sydney A. Fisher, Minister of Agriculture in Ottawa, Ontario. The book is labelled as Bulletin No. 6 in the second series, and a note indicates that the second series of these bulletins focuses on information that will only be interesting to a limited number of people as it is increasingly specific. He served with the Royal Canadian Artillery during World War II where he began training as a surveyor, and later completed a degree in civil engineering from the University of Toronto. In 1950 he was "engaged in subdivision surveys on Indian Reserves in Saskatchewan and Alberta" and assisted with "mineral claim surveys in Yukon Territory."
