At the beginning of the brochure, there is a foreword written by Samual Uskiw, the Minister of Agriculture in Manitoba. The purpose of the brochure is to “clear up some of the confusion that has surrounded recent national grain policy discussions.” The brochure provides details and clarification for the Temporary Wheat Reserves Act, Bill C-244 or The Prairie Grains Stabilization Act, and Manitoba’s proposal for a Net Income Stabilization Plan.

A pamphlet titled “Rental and Custom Charges for Farm Machinery” issued by the Extension Service Branch and published by the Manitoba Department of Agriculture. The purpose of the pamphlet is to “help farmers and custom operators calculate rental and custom charges for various field operations.” Inside the pamphlet is a large information table and worksheet that lists various farm machinery and their rental and custom charges. Some of the machines listed include backhoes, forage blowers, hay conditioners, mowers, rakes, and crawler tractors. On the back of the pamphlet, there is a guide for using the worksheet.

A pamphlet titled “Caragana is a Valuable Hedge and Shelterbelt Plant” by John Walker, Superintendent of the Forest Nursery Station in Indian Head, Saskatchewan. The pamphlet was published by the Canada Department of Agriculture in 1951. The pamphlet provides information about the shrub Caragana and covers topics such as growing Cargana from seed, starting a hedge, trimming overgrown hedges, and removing unwanted or surplus hedges.

A booklet titled “Dominion Forest Nursery Stations Progress Report 1947-1952” by John Walker, Superintendent of the Dominion Forest Nursery Station in Indian Head, Saskatchewan, and W.L. Bundles appear to be organized by dates around a particular excursion, and consist primarily of "Imperial Oil Limited Esso-Matic Invoice(s)" with other receipts attached. Includes a set of punched Esso credit card receipt stubs which have been stamped "PAID" by the Royal Bank of Canada. Three of the stubs are marked with the slogan "Put a Tiger in your Tank."

Documents from the Workmen's Compensation Board of Manitoba. The punched card requests a payment of $65.93 "within one month from 08-04-65" is marked in pencil as "Paid by cheque - Apr 26/65." The assessment contains an entry under "Industry Name" of "Bldg Const Repairs" and an amount due of $30. It is also marked as "Pd by cheque July 2/65" and "Marked up" in Donald McFadden's handwriting. The verso includes a write-up of penalties for payment neglect and information on family coverage.

Inside the manual front cover, there is a red embossing tape that reads “M. McFadden” who is presumably, Margaret McFadden. The dividers are labelled “Section I,” “Section II,” “Section III,” and “Appendix.” The first section provides information about standard hospital diets. The second section provides information about small hospitals and care facilities. The third section provides information about counselling communities about healthy nutrition.

Three folders previously containing the 77th, 78th, and 79th annual reports of the United Grain Growers cooperative for the years (ending on July 31) of 1983, 1984, and 1985. They consist primarily of photographs and illustrations of various tractor models. The 77th annual report folder contains "Appendix G" which provides details on the tractors on the folder and includes a photograph of a computerized dashboard inside a tractor cab.

Promotional material for the Edmonton Eskimos football team's 1952 season. Consists of a cartoonish map of Canada with Alberta exaggerated in size and shape, coloured yellow, and declaring "the Grey Cup is moving west" with comical illustrations portraying prominent Alberta and football themes.

A pair of commemorative photographic print collections for the centennial celebration of Daly, Manitoba with captions. Subjects include the Tarbolton United Church, the town of Bradwardine dated 1919, the Canadian Pacific Railway station in Wheatland, the Ramsay stone house dated 1921, blacksmith Luke Blabey (uncle of Hazel Oakey), and "John Radcliffe's five-horse hitch" dated 1910.

A publication titled “Gardening with Gus” which is a collection of horticultural hints from the Gus Hendzel column in The Brandon Sun newspaper. The collection was published in Brandon, Manitoba in 1977. There are 42 columns in total that were included in the collection, all written by Gus Hendzel. The collection includes columns such as “Planting methods,” “Winter protection,” “Symptoms of Elm disease,” and “Fruit Trees” among many others.

A pair of original art pieces depicting the exterior of the now demolished curling arena at Furby Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba. One image shows a street view of the building with a pair of 60s or 70s era muscle cars parked outside. The second image is focused on the building's entrance and shows a single figure approaching the door holding a curling broom and pair of shoes. The Furby Place Curl Arena logo is attached to the painting as an additional oval-shaped raised piece, and the left edge of the painting is covered with a strip of beige painter's tape.

A letter from John Mitchell, Professor of Soils at the University of Saskatchewan to Don McFadden, dated July 20, 1951. It contains the results of an analysis on three soil samples, the most important of which, according to Prof. Mitchell, are the clay texture and the presence of free lime, as well as his suggestions on how to make the soil more productive. The letter includes a personal note at the bottom about a recent trip and a violin gift from Uncle Bill. The attached second page contains the analysis results in numerical values.

Schoemperlen, a bronchoscopy pioneer, and outlines why smoking is detrimental to lung health. On the back page of the newsletter, there is a mailing address sticker addressed to Mrs Margaret McFadden in Rivers, Manitoba.

Two blank foldable order forms for Brathwaites Limited Wholesaler Department, a pharmacy in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Each order form has blank spaces where the sender can fill in their name, address, and preferred shipping method. Each order form also includes a blank table where the sender can list the medication they wish to purchase, the quantity, and the size. The forms fold into envelope shapes with prepaid postage of six (6) cents, a predetermined address for Brathwaites Limited, and several blank lines in the top left corner for a return address.

A small notepad from the United Farmers of Alberta political party. The United Farmers of Alberta party is based in Calgary, Alberta. On the cover of the notepad is an illustration of a gas pump and a farm supply store.

A Sing-a-Long songbook for the Canadian Empress steamboat. There are 50 songs included in the booklet. The songbook was compiled and prepared by Harvey McKend. Some of the songs included are titled “Coconuts,” “For Me and My Gal,” “The Man Who Broke the Bank,” and many others. On the inside of the front cover page, there are two advertisements for the Empress Bar and the Empress Corner Store. On the inside of the back cover page, there is an advertisement for Canadian Empress Steamboat Vacations on the St. Lawrence River, and the main office is located in Kingston, Ontario.

A brochure titled "Colds Pay No Profits!" on the use of "Duatok Sulfanthiazole Sodium Soluble Powder" to treat coryza (colds) in chickens. Includes a list of advantages, usage instructions, precautions, and information on coryza.

A brochure titled “Flax Weed Control Guide” issued by May & Baker Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta. The brochure advertises two chemicals sold by May & Baker, ‘Buctril’ M for “Broad-leaved weed control in flax,” and Asulox F for “Wild oat control in flax.” The brochure contains various photographs and illustrations of different plants the chemicals can be used to eradicate, and also provides information about how to use each chemical and how to optimize their use. The year “1977” is handwritten on the cover page.

A one page advertisement for various poultry-related farm implements from Miller Hatcheries, "Home of Champion Chicks & Poults Since 1917." Products include turkey saddles, "Never-Pick" bits and applicator, and the "LYON Super Debeaker." A series of calculations are written in light blue ink on the verso.

A Poulin Chemical Pest Control Catalogue for 1966. On the first page, there is an introductory message from the General Manager of Poulin Chemicals in Winnipeg, Manitoba. On each page, there is a description of each chemical accompanied by an illustration of the pest the chemical is supposed to control or the chemical container. The descriptions also indicate the price and container size for each chemical. On the final page of the catalogue is a blank order form.

A catalogue for Canadian Farming titled “Farm Shop Ideas.” The catalogue is for Westman Equipment Co., a “truck, farm and recreation equipment store” in Brandon, Manitoba and was published by the International Harvester Company. The catalogue lists various tools and machinery for farm living. Each tool and machine is illustrated and includes a short write-up about the function of the tool and why it is useful on a farm. Some of the tools listed include a nail puller, a welder, a saw guard, a tool rack, and a sheet metal cutter. The catalogue also includes information about tips for safe farm welding and an article about how farm tools save time. On the back of the catalogue, there is a mailing sticker addressed to D.J. McFadden in Rivers, Manitoba.
