Printed souvenir album from the No. 2 Wireless School in Calgary. The booklet contains five group portraits, and a list of personnel. The separate photographs are identical to one of the group portraits in the booklet.

Contains photographs taken by, or associated with Sgt. Pilot Geoffrey Redfern, a graduate of the Service Flying Training School in Calgary, Alberta. Photographs are annotated, often with small cartoon illustrations on each page. Subjects of photographs include sightseeing in the United States, Ottawa, Banff, and Lake Louise, images of friends in Toronto, Montreal, Massachusetts, and Vermon, graduation photos from the Service Flying Training School, portraits, and various photographs from Royal Air Force service. In addition to the photographs, other miscellaneous material is also enclosed, including:

• A 1942 Christmas menu from the No. 10 I.T.W.
• A Dec. 8, 1943 graduation dinner menu from the Service Flying Training School, featuring a number of signatures
• A newspaper extract, which features a story that mentions Sgt. Pilot Redfern
• An undated Christmas card from Geoffrey Redfern
• A single page of typed diary notes from the author’s wartime transit across the Atlantic
• 23 assorted postcards, depicting locations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba

A photograph album created by an unknown person, documenting the 1910 train trip completed by Sir Wilfrid Laurier, as Prime Minister, across western Canada. In July and August, Sir Laurier traveled on a special Grand Trunk Pacific train from Fort William, ON to Prince Rupert, B.C. and back, returning to Ottawa September 7, 1910. He was accompanied by numerous colleagues, including his private secretary, E. J. Lemaire; Minister of Railways and Canals, George Perry Graham, M.P.; Edward Mortimer Macdonald, M.P.; and Frederick Forsythe Pardee, M.P.

The B&W photographs are captioned in white on the black paper pages of the album. The photographs are only roughly in chronological order. The owner of the album titled the first page, "The Grand Trunk Pacific Trip." The acronym "G.T.P." is used for Grand Trunk Pacific railway throughout the album. Minister Graham is identified in the photographs by the acronym "G.P.G."

Photographs include:

• Various photographs of the group chatting and milling around the train, occasionally posing for the photographer. Several of these photographs also show the train's crew.

• A large welcome sign on the bridge in Fort William, ON.

• Two photographs of the August 5th train wreck between the Laurier special train and a freight train on the C.P.R. track east of Moose Jaw between Belle Plaine and Pense. The train car is torn apart like a toy. No one in the prime minister's party was seriously injured.

• One photograph of a man in a buggy, captioned "Joe" Clarke. This appears to be the future mayor of Edmonton.

• Captioned photographs of the welcome received at Inverness [?], Winnipeg [MB], Melfort [SK], Selkirk [MB], Yorkton [SK], Medicine Hat [AB], Calgary [AB], Wetaskiwin [AB], Rosthern [SK], Banff [AB], Golden [B.C.], Prince Rupert [B.C.], and Victoria [B.C.].

• Photograph of the "Welcome to our Premier" arch made of oats in Yorkton, SK.

• Several photographs of Indigenous people.

• Two photographs of "Buffalo at Banff," including a calf.

• Several beautiful photographs of the Rocky Mountains.

• Several photographs taken from the deck of a ship off the coast of Prince Rupert, B.C.

Program titled: "The Armouries, Calgary, Alberta, Military Ball Given in Honour of HRH The Prince of Wales by Brig. Gen. H.F. McDonald, C.M.G., D.S.O. and Officers of M.D. NO. 13. September sixteenth, nineteen hundred and nineteen." Front cover also includes the Alberta Coat of Arms. Interior of the program contains a list of dances to be performed and the accompanying music, with the opposite page containing blank spaces for writing engagements and rendezvous. Back cover is blank.

In the background is a steam train, wheat silo, and a town. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph states: "Repairing the lines and putting in new lines at Calgary." There are also the numbers 762 next to this note, and the number 20 in the bottom right corner.

The program's front cover is filled with a green and white picture of an older woman sitting in a chair reading. She is positioned in front of a set of windows, and is surrounded by tables and books. A note written in pencil on the top right corner  states “Calgary” 20-. The cover reads at the top: "Mother’s Day Service Sunday, May 11th, 1924." Below the picture is simply the word Mother. The interior of the program indicates the order of service, including hymns and recitations. The back cover continues the order of service. A note on the bottom of the back page states: Prepared for and distributed by The Religious Education Council of Alberta, 302 I.O.O.F. Building, Calgary.

Booklet titled: "United Farmers of Alberta Annual Convention, 1916-Calgary-Annual Address." Below this is written: "Delivered by S.S. Dunham. L.L.B., Lethbridge-Second Vice-President." 

Cover is printed on light brown paper with blue flecks. Front cover features a black decorative border surrounding an image of a torch entwined with a ribbon alongside the title. The back cover contains only the union label for printing, and notes: Quick Print, Calgary. The interior contains fifteen (15) pages denoting the address given by S.S. Dunham at the annual U.F.A. Convention in Calgary. There is also a b&w portrait of S.S. Dunham on the second page.

Title reads: "Premier Truck Cabs and Bodies - Anthony Steel Dump Truck Bodies - D. Ackland & Son Limited - Winnipeg - Calgary - Chevrolet." Cover contains an ink drawing of a speeding truck with a farm scene in the background. Title and drawing are done in green ink. Interior contains descriptions and drawings of different truck parts and accessories available for purchase. A note on the back page says the booklet was printed by Birt Printing Co., Ltd, and compiled by W.H. Hart. There is an included page printed on thin green paper noting the Premier Truck, Cab and Body Price list at D. Ackland & Son, Limited, Winnipeg.

The share certificate indicates the share amount of the company Price Jones, which was founded in the 1860s in Newton, Wales. It sold locally produced Welsh flannel and eventually expanded and became the first mail-order shop in the world (Queen Victoria was known to be a customer), and issued catalogues in Canada as well. In 1911 the company erected a store in Calgary but it ultimately went out of business in 1916. 

Nine (9) photographs depict images of Winnipeg, Brandon, Edmonton, Calgary, Moose Jaw, a standard passenger train, the train on the Canadian Pacific Railway, close-up of the Canadian Northern Railway Standard Passenger Train, and buffalo in the park at Wainwright, Alberta. American Scrip Company scrip coupon issued by Arcade Confectionery, Calgary, Alberta. The coupon owner is due a ½ mile of first class travel on any steam ship or steam railway in the world. Features two delicate line drawings of a steam train and a steam ship.

Train schedule for the Soo-Spokane Route run by the Spokane International Railway. Centrefold is a map of the route which runs from Portland, Oregon up through Calgary, Alberta and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and down to St. Paul, Minnesota. Includes time schedules of the international route and of connecting train lines, as well as a description of the trains and equipment in use.

Collection of documents related to the creation of the nurses registry in Calgary during the Second World War.

• Typed letter to “The graduate nurses of Calgary” from Kathleen Connor, Chairman of the Calgary District #3 Alberta Association of Registered Nurses, dated Feb. 5, 1942. Introduces the idea of creating a community nursing registry in order to support the war effort.
• Typed documents with the heading “The following is condensed from the Report of the Committee on the Formation and Re-Organization of Registries, Province of Ontario, Ottawa, 28th March, 1940.”
• Recommended by-laws of the Nurses Registry of Calgary District #3, typed, with the name “Mrs. F. Honeywell written in handwriting. No date.

Likely written by a student for a junior high or high school assignment. Written in French. Reference to the “Centre des Arts Allies” or Allied Arts Centre, which was open in Calgary in the 1960s, dates the essay and locates its creation in Calgary, Alberta.

Book of 24 tickets for the “Indoor Fun Carnival” to be held in the Calgary Arena Sept. 11 – 18, 1937. Proceeds from the Carnival went to the Bigger and Better Hockey Association of Calgary. The words “Bobby [W?]hels Book” are written in pencil on the cover. Calgary, Alberta.

Documents relating mostly to the later life of Clayborne Stewart, who lived in Red Deer, Alberta. Includes a collection of letters and cards documenting his 1946-7 courtship and subsequent marriage with his second wife, Louise (legal name Zenobia) nee Taylor. The two exchanged letters while Louise was living in Calgary and Clayborne in Red Deer; many of Clayborne's letters to Louise and other correspondence are collected here. Stewart worked as an army cook in Red Deer, and attended an army cook training course at Camp Borden in Ontario in 1953; the file also includes letters written from Clayborne to Louise during this time.

Subseries consists of photographs of Indigenous people, likely from the Nakoda (Stoney) or Niitsitapi/ Siksikaitsitapi (Blackfoot) Nations, and settlers taking part in parades and cultural exhibitions. Seems to be the Calgary Stampede though the year is unknown. Likely taken during Pocock's pensioner years in the 1930s. Subseries is arranged according to the order that photographs were processed.
