Two second-place blue ribbons that were awarded to Mrs W.R. Gibson from the Calgary Horticultural Society. One ribbon was awarded for a Scabiosa plant and is listed as class number 73 and exhibit 5. The other ribbon was awarded for a Double Blue plant and is listed as class number 111 and exhibit 2. The Double Blue ribbon is listed as a Constance Hanson exhibit and on the back of the paper tag is stapled a handwritten note with potting instructions. The paper tags include advertising for garden supplies from Vigoro.

A book about the benefits of owning an irrigation farm in Alberta. The book, published by the Department of Colonization and Development and the Canadian Pacific Railway, claims that because the railway owns lands in Alberta that are both irrigated and non-irrigated, they represent an unbiased voice on the subject. Throughout the book, there are B&W printed photographs of farmers, different irrigation systems, livestock, and barns.

A program for the Thanksgiving service in celebration of the first anniversary of the Social Credit Party victory. The service was held on August 23rd, 1936 in Victory Park, Calgary. The program outlines the order of service which includes several hymns, prayers, and anthems. Several of the songs and their lyrics are listed on the other page. On the back of the program, there are four portrait photographs of Calgary Social Credit M.L.A.s. The program was published by Albertan Publishers Limited.

A satirical twenty dollar bill for Ralph Bucks from Calgary, Alberin 2000. The writing on the bill states that it is for use in private hospitals and is a “legal tender for increased administration costs, advertising, unnecessary treatments, and profit.” On the front of the bill, there is an unflattering cartoon illustration of Ralph Klein, former premier of Alberta who was in office from December 14, 1992, to December 14, 2006. The bill is meant as a satirical commentary on rising private healthcare costs. On the back of the bill are several phone numbers for key political figures in Alberta whom people are encouraged to call to oppose hiked health care costs. The bill is presumably a response to the Klein government’s decision to cut healthcare spending by 21% between 1994 and 1996 and the increase in the privitization of healthcare systems.

Calgary Exhibition official catalogue and programme booklet of livestock entries. The Calgary Exhibition was held from July 9th to July 14th, 1923. The catalogue lists various kinds of livestock entered into the exhibition and the order of events. The booklet was printed by A.R. Littlebury, a printer in Calgary, Alberta.

A souvenir book commemorating the 27th Annual Convention of Trades and Labour Congress in Canada. The convention was held in Calgary, Alberta, in September 1911. The book includes various portraits and short biographies of members of the council. The book also includes group photographs of various labourer groups and short reports about each group, as well as various advertisements for local businesses. The book was published by the Calgary Trades and Labour Council and printed by the Typographical Union Label company in Calgary, Alberta.

A program for the Governor’s Banquet in the Fairholme Dining Room at the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta on June 23, 1947. The guest speaker of the evening is listed as Mr. Maurice Brown of Calgary, Alberta. The program outlines the order of events such as the invocation, several songs, introductions, and presentations. The program also includes the evening’s menu and the lyrics for the songs. The program was printed by General Printing and Bookbinding Limited in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

A Canadian Pacific Railway Company Social and Athletic Club caution card no.2. The card is a pass for the final dance and whist drive of the organization at the Palliser Hotel on May 1, 1920, in Calgary, Alberta. Inside the card is the order of scheduled dances and on the back of the card is a list of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company Social and Athletic Club officers.

A bound collection of handbooks from the Canadian Pacific Railway company, each titled the “Canadian Pacific Handbook of Information Regarding Business and Industrial Opportunities in Western Canada.” The handbooks were published monthly. The handbooks were published by the Department of Natural Resources located in Calgary, Alberta. This collection of handbooks, published monthly starting in July 1912, lists the positions needed in dozens of towns in Western Canada which are organized alphabetically. The collection includes handbooks published from July 1912 to April 1913.

A Sky Line Trail Hikers of the Canadian Rockies maps and constitution booklet. The booklet lists the council members of the organization and outlines the various articles of the constitution such as meetings, funds, by-laws, notices, and amendments. The booklet also includes several maps of locations in the Canadian Rockies such as Emerald Lake and Yoho Valley, trail routes to Mount Assiniboine, and trails around Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Lake Wapta, and Lake O’Hara. The booklet was printed in Canada.

They were photographers in Calgary, N.W.T., and there is handwriting on the back stating the photograph was taken in July 1892.

Includes Christmas and New Year's greetings from Vice-President Colin Mackenzie ["The Old Wish"]; musings on luck in business ["This Thing Called Luck"]; a humourous account of a writer getting into 5 accidents rather than 1 while moving bricks ["Accident or Accidents"]; 5 black and white [B&W] reproductions of photographs of warehouse stocks, display selling service, a storefront, machine shop service, and sporting goods ["Greetings from Our Store to Yours"]; a reproduction of the war poem "In Flanders' Fields" by John McCrae; a list of company personnel [with special mention of staff members currently on military service]; and a holiday poem ["Merry Christmas"].

A collection of cabinet cards depicting notable Calgarian figures posed in front of the same background which consists of a wolf head mounted on the wall, and various photographs hanging over a table with some books and flowers on it. All of the men in the photographs are sitting in a chair. All of the photographs were taken in Calgary, Alberta in 1893 by [R. Randolph Bruce]. These four cabinet cards and photographs are from a series of photographs taken of members of the Calgary organization known as the Pack of the Western Wolves. The first card depicts D.H. Andrews with the caption “I have used no other.” The second card depicts Dr. Lorne Campbell and the caption reads “$10 or 40 days!!” The third card depicts J. Stone and the caption reads “The farming sportsman.” The fourth and final card depicts R.W. Richardson and the caption reads “The Agricultural Monopolist.”

1946 Lethbridge "Native Sons" 77's program and yearbook gives the names and write-ups of the 1946-1947 team, with a black and white [B&W] photograph of each player. Includes the Southern Alberta Junior 'A' Hockey League Schedule for 1946-1947, and a blank score card at centrefold for a game between Calgary and Lethbridge Native Sons. Also present are greetings from Lethbridge's Mayor A. W. Shackleford, Arena Director Gordon A. Frisby, and the President of the Lethbridge Native Sons Hockey Club Ed Bruchet, and various local advertisements and sponsors.

The 1946-47 Penalty Rules are listed throughout the program, with one rule or subsection of rule listed under each player write-up.

1944 Buffaloes versus Stampeders program [No. 2174] gives the player roster, coach, and manager for each team for the 6 Nov. 1944 game. Also advertises a muskrat coat as the draw prize that will be presented to the holder of the program with the number drawn "immediately after the game". Program is missing the middle panel, and only the front and back panels are present.
