Report on co-operative and collective farming published by the Canadian Economic Research Bureau (C.E.R.B.) in response to the election of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (C.C.F.) government in Saskatchewan. The report discusses Mennonites, Hutterites, and "Other Collective Farming Experiments" in Canada, as well as the "Collective Farm Experiment in Russia", to make their position.

Vol. 2, No. 8 of the North Star, which is described in the subtitle as ‘Saskatchewan’s Pioneer C.C.F. newspaper’. Chiefly includes news, articles and editorials from a left-wing perspective. Additionally, the newspaper contains a number of advertisements for local business and organizations, and a brief classified ads section.

PE004709 - Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (C.C.F.) Q&A Booklet

"What is it, Who is it, What will it do?" booklet published by the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (C.C.F.), the Alberta Farmer-Labor Party in Edmonton, AB and printed by Commercial Printers Ltd., also of Edmonton.  This booklet was published in response to “a nation-wide scare campaign” launched against the C.C.F. by “the great financial and business interests of Canada” (p.2).  The reader is asked to ignore the “false propaganda of the enemies of this people’s political movement” because “You wouldn’t expect Hitler to tell the truth about the United Nations” (p.2).  The booklet details the policies of the C.C.F. in a Q&A format.  There is a mail-away page in the back.

The front cover has the title: "Canada House of Commons Debates Official Report. Speeches of Mr. P.E.Wright, Member for Melfort". Below this is a b&w photograph of a man in a suit. Below the picture it reads: "C.C.F. Demands Fair Deal for Agriculture. Delivered in the House of Commons September 20 and 26, 1945." The interior of the booklet contains the speeches of P.E. Wright, given in the House of Commons, and regarding a variety of topics, including floor prices, the quota system, the Winnipeg grain exchange, export trade, etc. Booklet was printed by Edmond Cloutier, Printer to the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, in Ottawa in 1945.

Electoral handout for M.J.Coldwell. Front cover contains a large b&w photograph of Coldwell, (photograph credited to Karsh), and bears the title: "Your Candidate M. J. Coldwell, C. C. F. Federal Candidate for Rosetown-Biggar Constituency." Contains 2 pages which details the election campaign of Coldwell, as well as a personal message to voters. The back page details the CCF Programme, and encourages the voter to vote for them. Publishing information on the back page states: "Issued by authority of The Co-operative Commonwealth Federation. (Saskatchewan Section) 510 Kerr Bldg., Regina." Printed by Fertile Valley Enterprise, Conquest, Sask.

Front title “Do Not Give Up The Title To Your Home, The Best Way To Hold Your Right to Own a Home is the Liberal Way.”  The reader is encouraged to “read and study the C.C.F. Speakers Handbook which accompanies this pamphlet” but this document is missing.  The interior pages are written as a dialogue between Dave and Charlie, your average voters in Saskatchewan.  Dave equates socialism and collectivism with the C.C.F. platform, quoting from C.C.F. publications and officials, before lauding the Liberal party, the Canadian war effort, and post-war planning.  Issued by authority of the Saskatchewan Liberal Association and printed by Commercial Printers, Limited, of Regina, SK.
