Comprised of two large hardcover notebooks containing primarily minutes of meetings over an approximately 30-year period, from March 1939 to December 1968, containing 350 pages of handwritten entries. Comprised primarily of original handwritten minutes of meetings, but includes ongoing listings of monthly financial receipts and disbursements, and lists of officers elected from time to time. Both (oversize) notebooks are bound in half leather and marbled cloth (hardcover). One ledger is in Fine condition. The second is complete except that spine is missing and covers are loose at hinge, but there is no loss of text. Both ledgers are internally and externally bright and clean, and the handwritten text is remarkably handsome and legible.
Contains filled-out application forms for membership in the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginmen, Northern Lights Lodge No. 127. Each form contains the name and personal information of the applicant, including their profession and length of work, his the name of his sponsor, and the signatures of the approving committee members. In addition, in printed text, each form includes the terms and conditions associated with making an application to the brotherhood.
Two hand-written letters, dated June 13th, from Marie to Sam. Marie attaches a personal accounts sheet with incoming/outgoing notations for Sam's information to one of the letters.
