This subseries consists of books and magazines relating to L. Frank Baum and his novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, that were collected by Dr. Margaret Mackey and donated to the University of Alberta Libraries. It contains various versions and editions of the original book, books written by other authors that are set in or reference the world of Oz, non-fiction books about the Wizard of Oz and its 1939 live-action movie adaptation, or L. Frank Baum, and activity books. This subseries consists of the following sub-subseries: The Wizard of Oz (1934-2012), Related Books (1995-2014), and Non-fiction and Activity Books (1999-2017).

Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz that were collected by Dr. Margaret Mackey and donated to the University of Alberta Libraries. It contains unabridged and abridged versions, illustrated books, graphic novels, and pop-up books.

The videos relate to the 1925 and 1939 live-action adaptation, alternate takes on the original story, and TV shows that have episodes relating to The Wizard of Oz.

It contains a computer game and Nintendo DS game relating to The Wizard of Oz, and Shelley Jackson's hypertext story Patchwork Girl which references L. Frank Baum's The Patchwork Girl of Oz.
This subseries consists of audio CDs relating to The Wizard of Oz that were collected by Dr. Margaret Mackey and donated to the University of Alberta Libraries. It contains a CD of music from early adaptations of The Wizard of Oz, and music from the musical Wicked.
This subseries consists of small collectibles relating to The Wizard of Oz that were collected by Dr. Margaret Mackey and donated to the University of Alberta Libraries. It contains a package of small Christmas ornaments of the Scarecrow, Lion, Dorothy, and the Tin Man. As well as McDonalds Happy Meal ornaments of Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Wicked Witch. With all but the Tin Man still in their packaging.
This subseries consists of personal files and ephemera relating to The Wizard of Oz that were collected by Dr. Margaret Mackey and donated to the University of Alberta Libraries. It contains printouts of web articles relating to TV and stage adaptations, online catalogues and advertisements. As well as correspondences, reference searches, magazine and newspaper cutouts, and an overhead presentation.
