The book includes information about the rules and regulations for the exhibition, prize options for the different livestock categories, and prize options for the various agriculture and horticulture categories. The booklet also includes various advertisements for local businesses.

A collection of documents titled “Record and Analysis for Settlement Purposes of Business Transaction Between C.J. McFadden and D.J. McFadden.” There is one document for each year and ranges from 1949 to 1983. Several documents include supplementary reports or notes stapled to them. The majority of the documents are divided into two parts. Part I outlines debits to Donald J. McFadden for transactions involving grain, labour, and miscellaneous items. Part II outlines credits to Donald J. McFadden for transactions involving labour, seed, fertilizer, and chemicals. At the end of the majority of the documents, there is a summary of the transactions and the balance that is either owed or needs to be acquired. As the years progress the documents also include cost calculations for the use of specific agricultural machinery.

A booklet titled “Equipment for Harvesting Hay and Silage” by WM. Kalbfleisch. The booklet was published by the Canada Department of Agriculture Experimental Farm Service in September 1949. The booklet is marked as Publication 826 and Farmers’ Bulletin 158. The booklet provides detailed information about various farm machines and equipment that are ideal for harvesting hay and silage. The booklet covers topics such as methods of collecting, hauling and storing hay and silage, using balers, forage crop harvesting methods, auxiliary equipment such as hay carts, wagon unloaders or hay blowers, and also provides an extensive appendix. The booklet includes various photographs of these different methods and machinery.

A booklet titled “Alfalfa for Hay, SIlage and Pasture” by the Forage Plants and Field Husbandry Divisions of the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa, Ontario and the Dominion Experimental Station in Lethbridge, Alberta. The booklet was published by the Dominion of Canada Department of Agriculture in Sept. 1948. The booklet is marked as Publication 735 and Farmers’ Bulletin 110. The booklet provides information about the different varieties of alfalfa, methods of growing alfalfa, harvesting methods, and how to use alfalfa as silage. The booklet includes various photographs of alfalfa varieties and fields, as well as harvesting methods. On the inside of the back cover page, there is a list of people involved with the Experimental Farm Service in Canada.

A booklet titled “Dominion Forest Nursery Stations Progress Report 1947-1952” by John Walker, Superintendent of the Dominion Forest Nursery Station in Indian Head, Saskatchewan, and W.L. Kerr, Superintendent of the Dominion Forest Nursery Station in Sutherland, Saskatchewan. The booklet was published by the Canada Department of Agriculture in 1954. The booklet outlines the tree-planting activities over a period of six years at the two Forestry Nursery Stations. The report outlines the distribution of trees for shelterbelt and hedge planting on farms, permanent plantations, farm shelterbelts, special cooperative projects, rodent control, publicity, and tree physiology.

A booklet titled “Ornamental Shrubs and Small Trees for the Canadian Prairies” by S.W. Edgecombe, an Associate Professor of Horticulture at the University of Manitoba. The booklet was published by Line Elevators Farm Service in April 1944, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The booklet covers topics such as the use of ornamental shrubs in home plantings, plant maintenance, and recommended shrubs and information about their care. Throughout the booklet, there are various photographs of shrubs and small trees. On the back cover page of the booklet, there is a list of sponsors. On the cover page "D. J. McFadden" is handwritten in the top right corner.

The booklet was published by the Manitoba Pool Elevators in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The booklet provides information about soil erosion, producing good quality hay, pasture production, and corn production in Manitoba, among other topics. On the cover page "D. J. McFadden" is handwritten under the title.

The booklet is an updated version of the booklet of the same name from 1972 and provides information about the various insects and diseases that can affect rapeseed and mustard plants at all stages of growth. Each insect and disease is described and accompanied by a colour photograph. The booklet also provides solutions for mitigating or preventing these pests. There are several updates from the previous booklet to include more insects and diseases.

Two blank foldable order forms for Brathwaites Limited Wholesaler Department, a pharmacy in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Each order form has blank spaces where the sender can fill in their name, address, and preferred shipping method. Each order form also includes a blank table where the sender can list the medication they wish to purchase, the quantity, and the size. The forms fold into envelope shapes with prepaid postage of six (6) cents, a predetermined address for Brathwaites Limited, and several blank lines in the top left corner for a return address.

A Sing-a-Long songbook for the Canadian Empress steamboat. There are 50 songs included in the booklet. The songbook was compiled and prepared by Harvey McKend. Some of the songs included are titled “Coconuts,” “For Me and My Gal,” “The Man Who Broke the Bank,” and many others. On the inside of the front cover page, there are two advertisements for the Empress Bar and the Empress Corner Store. On the inside of the back cover page, there is an advertisement for Canadian Empress Steamboat Vacations on the St. Lawrence River, and the main office is located in Kingston, Ontario.

Products include turkey saddles, "Never-Pick" bits and applicator, and the "LYON Super Debeaker." A series of calculations are written in light blue ink on the verso.

A small souvenir diagram of a Saskatchewan Wheat Pool elevator. The diagram is formed in the shape of a grain elevator and when the diagram is opened, the inside workings and mechanisms of a grain elevator are colourized and labelled. Also inside the diagram is a short description of how a wheat elevator functions and lists notable highlights of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. The diagram was created for the Saskatchewan Centennial in 2005.

The meeting was held in the Co-op Board Room at 1700 Portage Ave in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The minutes list the members present at the meeting. The first news release is an editorial from the CFAM and CHSM Southern Manitoba radio station by Bruce Gunn. The editorial was released in September 1968 and discusses "Producer marketing Boards and the proposed changes in marketing legislation in the province." The second news release was addressed to the Premier of Alberta from Gil Molgat, the leader of the Liberal Party in Manitoba. The news release is dated September 26, 1968. The news release expresses concerns about specific “plans for orderly marketing of turkeys and broiler chickens produced in Manitoba.”
The third news release is a cut-out article titled “Poultry market bid produces a dispute.” The article is attached to a statement from the President of the Canadian Turkey Federation, the Chairman of the Canadian Broiler Council, and the Canadian Egg Producers Council. The release and the statement discuss the “broad exemptions the Manitoba Government is insisting be included in the marketing schemes already approved by the vast majority of the Manitoba Turkey and Broiler Chicken Producers by free and democratic vote.”
The fourth news item is a torn-out article titled “Manitoba Turkey and Broiler Board Members Hold First Combined Meeting of Manitoba Marketing Boards.” The article includes a B&W photograph of board members, including Don McFadden. The news release outlines a letter that was sent to Premier Walter Weir regarding the government’s “position in regard to permitting agricultural producers to establish effective marketing plans under the Natural Products Marketing Act.”
The final news release is from The Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board and was released on October 9, 1968. The release details a meeting between the Hon. Douglas Watt, the new Minister of Agriculture and the provisional directors of the marketing board.

The list includes 115 names of producers, although one name is crossed out in ink. The list is dated February 12, 1968.

A farm account book produced by Chester McFadden for his farm in Rivers, Manitoba for the year 1956. On the first page of the account book, there is an index. The account book is divided into various sections which are written at the top of each page including Co-op, Oil, Help, Fertilizer, Lumber, Grain, Margaret, Don, Feed Grain, and many others. In each section, there are handwritten notes about purchases for each category or income for the farm. There are several loose-leaf notes and papers placed between pages throughout the account book. On page 38 there are various entries describing the farm fields.

There are several loose-leaf notes and papers placed between pages throughout the account book. At the end of the account book is the draft of a letter, presumably addressed to a neighbour of the farm. One of the supplementary items placed between the cover and the first page of the account book is Chester McFadden's drivers license.

Near the back of the account book, there are eight pages of names and the majority have addresses listed beside them.

Correspondence from W. A. Weston, General Secretary of the Children's Aid Society of Winnipeg, Manitoba to Mr. L. D. Smith, thanking him for his donation of $5 and providing him a receipt. Both the receipt and letterhead include addresses and phone numbers of the society's general office and shelter, and the receipt also lists the "Objects of the Society" and a notice on confidentiality on the verso.

A rosary and booklet containing instructions, prayers, and the twenty mysteries including artworks, packaged in a plastic baggie. The booklet and baggie both include contact information for Our Lady Queen of Peace Foundation Inc. A note on the baggie reads "This is a free gift."

An advertisement calendar for "Public Lunch, Wong Pong Prop., Best Eating Place in Town" in Olds, Alberta. Two logos for different Buckingham tobacco products are printed in the bottom left and right corners. Art print is a painting of a woman in a chair with a little boy holding a toy elephant and sitting in her lap while they both look at a yellow bird singing in a hanging cage. It is captioned "Mother's Hour" and the artist's signature has been slightly cropped out but the surname may be "Hintermeister." The print can be lifted from the bottom and underneath is a "List of Premiums" that can be paid for with certain collectable cigarette cards. Calendar contains moon phase information.

A booklet from The Tuttle Land Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, titled “Evidence.” The company sells and rents out farmland. The booklet includes various testimonies from farmers and photographs of farms and farmers in the Macoun-Halbrite District in Saskatchewan. The photographs were taken in the Fall of 1911. The purpose of the booklet is to provide evidence that scientific farming produces results and that “Farming Pays” in the district. The Tuttle Land Company advertises their propositions such as securing renters from their customer's land, refunding money to farmers who purchase their land and cultivate at least 75% of it, and they will refund car fare and expenses to anyone who inspects their land and is unsatisfied. The final page of the booklet includes a cropped photograph print of the private train car owned by The Tuttle Land Company.

An advertisement for the Mount Royal Hotel in Banff, Alberta. Includes "Facts and Figures," a list of names of surrounding mountains and their peak altitudes, distance (in miles) from various Rocky Mountain locations, photographs, and mentions of other amenities and offerings. Manager N. H. Murray's name has been crossed out, and "Bert McCallum, Manager" printed underneath. Date estimate is dealer-provided.

A notice dated February 27, 1903 to shareholders of the Canada North-West Land Company that a dividend of 5% will be paid out on April 15. It has been glue-mounted to a card, indicating it was previously framed.

The president’s report from the annual meeting of the Qu’Appelle Valley Farming Co. Limited, proprietors of the Bell Farm, on January 9, 1884, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The report was printed by the “Times” Steam Book and Job Printing House. The report covers various subjects such as cultivation, improvements, the town site, squatters, expenditure and receipts, and a colonization scheme.

A copy of an account of the married life of Mr. and Mrs. Unger from Kleefeld, Manitoba, written in German, to be presented to guests as a party favour on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary. They were married on January 25, 1932 and lived in various locations in Manitoba in houses they built themselves, raised chickens, and adopted three children. Includes captioned photographs, bible quotes, and a poem titled "Glückwunsch zur Silberhochzeit (Congratulations on your Silver Wedding Anniversary)" by Von Jacob J, Bartels.

A collection of items related to the McNeil family. Two prints, one b&w photograph of Yellowknife, the other a coloured image of a smoke plume. Two Christmas cards from the N. W. T., one from Bob Kennedey and one from R. W. McNeil (son Bob), specifically from the Ptarmigan Mine in Yellowknife. One loose sepia photograph of Pearl McNeil and husband(?) in Edmonton, and a small notebook belonging to Pearl containing names, addresses, and five-digit phone numbers. The cover reads "The First National Bank, Albany, Oregon"

An infographic calendar showing open and closed seasons for hunting various wild animals in Alberta, dated February 2, 1914. Also includes other regulations and restrictions on game hunting, license fees, and fines.

A list of 505 names, many including job descriptions or marital status, of registered voters in a west Calgary district "comprising an area bounded on the North by 17th Ave. West, on the East by 26th Street, on the South by 23rd Avenue W., and on the West by 29th Street West." The names were "enumerated during a recent house-to-house visitation in the above mentioned polling division by a pair of urban enumerators."

An NDP election flyer for Heather McPherson in Edmonton, Alberta from 2019. The flyer provides information about Heather McPherson’s career and experience as well as plans the NDP has for Canadians. On the back of the flyer are infographics of polling projections in 2019 and the average vote percentage in Edmonton Strathcona for the 2006-2015 elections. The flyer also includes photographs of Heather in the community and contact information for her office.

Cover reads "An Outline of the Plan under which School Fairs are Conducted, together with Directions to Local Committees, Teachers, and Pupils regarding their respective parts in such Fairs." It is primarily focused on agricultural education but also includes sections on subjects such as "Insect Collection" and "Sewing, Ten Years Old and Under."

A school paper, reminiscent of a yearbook, from Kelvin Technical High School in Winnipeg, dated April 1926. Includes stories, poetry, photographs, athletics reports, and advertisements for local businesses, as well as general information about the school and a list of the editorial staff. This copy appears to have belonged to Margaret Forsyth, and the inside of the front cover and first page are covered with classmate signatures.

Information on Education Week in Alberta from March 2 to 8, 1952. Consists of articles written by a selection of education ministers, teachers, and professors, and include topics such as Education in Alberta, Enterprise Education, School Building Problems, and Juvenile Delinquents.

Two year books from "S.N.S." (Saskatoon Normal School) for the school years of 1925-1926 and 1946-1947. They both include composite photographs of graduating students, writing samples and poetry, yearbook staff lists, athletics reports, editorials, and messages from the principal. The 1925-1926 copy has the inscription "Margaret M. Rennie, Room A. S.N.S." on the first page, many handwritten signitures under "Autographs" on pages 56-57, and the signature of orchestra conductor Mrs. Helen Davies Sherry on page 115. The 1946-1947 copy has two newspaper clippings attached to the inside of the front cover reporting on the death of Dr. Frederick James Gathercole, one being from the Leader-Post of Regina, Saskatchewan and dated Tuesday, December 28, 1993. Another clipping on the funeral service for Mrs. E. J. Ouellette is taped to page 34, and an obituary for Michael Joseph Schafer is taped to page 65 underneath his portrait, dated 1947. A retirement notice for Roy Lockert, also clipped from the Leader-Post and dated Friday, July 4, 1980, is attached to page 101. Pages 102-104 contain various other materials taped in including graduation programs, a red heart-shaped autograph book with signatures, and a typed memo on the decision of the Saskatoon Normal School Student's Assembly during their executive meeting on Tuesday, June 17, 1947 to "allot a sum of $50 to the next assembly for the buying of a radio." It also includes advertisements for local businesses.

A travel guide to western North America by the Standard Oil Company of California. It covers the western states from the Pacific coast and goes as far east as Nebraska and Texas, and also includes British Columbia. The first page has been removed, but it would have read: "Welcome to the West. Joaquin Miller, famous Western poet, once wrote that eyes were made for this land. Wherever you drive across its length and breadth you find endless scenery that lives in the memory...sweeping plains, silvery deserts, majestic forests and mountains, haunting lakes and streams. And, at its farthest Western reaches, the moving beauty of the Pacific Ocean and its matchless shoreline. This booklet can furnish only a brief glimpse into the treasure of color and drama that lies ahead, but we hope you will find it an interesting, helpful traveling companion. Have a wonderful trip!" The verso is a colourized photograph captioned "Bear Tooth Mountains, Montana - Wyoming."

Attached wedding invitation enclosed in a letter to SBS from Marie dated August 3rd, 1902. The invitation is from Captain J. O'Donnell of S.A.C. inviting SBS to the wedding of his daughter Mabel to Captain J. Sholto Douglas, also of S.A.C.
