A 47 page typewritten manuscript titled: "The Facts About My Escape From Military Prison at Bischofswerda, Saxony, Germany". The manuscript is enclosed in a paper cover, and on the inside cover is written: "To Major General S.B. Steele C.B. M.V.O. with my compliments from P. Anderson Major 101 Regiment Edmonton Fusiliers, Alberta, Canada". The memoir tells of Anderson's escape from the German military prison, and his eventual arrival in England after travelling incognito through Germany and across the Danish border.

Flora talks about the visits and visitors they have enjoyed; mentions that all now have cameras, and her father should tell Captain Ketchen that Gertrude took a photograph of Allastair (Ketchen's son); Flora writes about general activities at home in Winnipeg. 3 pp.
