Biographical history
Frank Bessai grew up in Southey, Saskatchewan. He was a member of the University of Alberta Department of English in 1960-1969. The Frank Bessai Memorial Scholarship in Old English was endowed in his memory.
Bessai was married to Diane Bessai, a fellow member of the U of A Department of English. They had four children together.
