Biographical history
Administrator, 1901- . Born in Strathcona (now part of Edmonton), Genevieve Jackson graduated from the University (BA 1921), then served as an assistant to D.E. Cameron, head of the University Library, until she married pioneer mining engineer and pilot William Jewitt and left Edmonton in 1926. She lived in communities in Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories before retiring in Victoria, British Columbia.
