Biographical history

Dr. Herbert E. Rawlinson was one of the early graduates from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta (U of A). Rawlinson was a professor at the U of A from 1927 to his resignation in 1962 and taught Anatomy. He was also the President of the Medical Alumni Association in 1950-1951. In 1975, Rawlinson passed away in Victoria, British Columbia. His personal collection of books formed the core of The Rawlinson Rare Book Collection for Health Sciences at the University of Alberta.
