      "Is this a ripper? Taken in the back garden of the house where we live. Rand took it and it was killing a kind of Dignity and Impudence - the photographer writhing around under his black cloth trying to focus it, taking up extraordinary attitudes, and Dad standing scornfully beofre him as if refusing to be amused.
