Notebook of I.S. Comfort, of Red Deer, Alberta, as used for note taking for the course Chem. 56 at St. Stephen’s College in Edmonton. Contains handwritten notes – usually either quantities used in various laboratory or classroom assignments, or various mathematical calculations.

PE001564 - Photographs: [Alberta hunting and agricultural scenes]

Although the album contains a few photographs of British Columbia locations (most notably of a hunting trip to Flathead, B.C.), the majority of images are from Alberta. Hunting and agricultural scenes of Ardrossan and of buffalo herds in Wainwright are prominently featured. The album also contains portraits of friends, family, and dogs taken at St. Paul de Metis, Vegreville, Edson, and Red Deer. Several photographs of Edmonton - including images of a flood [1915?], the Hudson's Bay Company's 250th anniversary celebration in 1921, and the royal visit of 1939 - are present.

Menu a la carte for the Bus Depot Café in Red Deer, AB.  There are six (6) signatures on the cover in blue ink.  The yellow card stock is browning along the edges and there is a coffee stain along the crease.  The front cover features an illustration of a uniformed waitress serving a nicely dressed family of four below which is a list of ice cream, sundaes and beverages.  The back cover is dedicated to the amenities of the Red Deer Bus Depot, including a Voice-o-graph automatic studio used to send home a recording instead of a post card.  Inside are dozens of menu items plus a typed page attached with a paper clip.  This Special Dinner Menu’s list of dishes has an additional six (6) items added in pencil.  Printed by Waskasoo Press, Red Deer.

PE004785 - 1956 Red Deer Exhibition Prize List for Ladies and Junior Activities Day

Booklet titled, "1956 Red Deer Exhibition Prize List for Ladies and Junior Activities Day, August 2-3-4." Cover is done in a thick, cream-colored paper stock with red writing, and includes ink drawings of fair activities, including a Ferris wheel, food for judging, and cows. The back cover contains the address of who the list was sent to: "Mrs. F. Grimson, Box 1115 RR 1, Red Deer." A 2 cent Canadian stamp was put over the opening upon mailing. The interior contains lists of the committees in charge, regulations for entry, and the class numbers and categories for entry. Inserted into the booklet are entry forms for the event.
