General note

Cover title. Also on cover: "The making of the legendary Royal Canadian Mounted Police." Listed as Piyami comics no. 1 (June 2007), but there is some doubt whether additional issues were produced. The Piyami Comics Web page - available online at (accessed 23 January 2017) - refers only to a forthcoming Web site and to issue no. 1.

General note

On back cover recto: "For the most part this portrayal of the march west is historically accurate, although much of the dialogue describes what might have been said. Some situations, such as Macleod's back alley encounter in Fort Benton, were included for dramatic effect. Two minor differences of note: the N.W.M.P. were not allowed to wear their uniforms while travelling thought the United States; and the motto 'Maintiens le driot' was not introduced until 1876."
