L'Amicale Saint-Jean est une association avec le but de maintenir et créer des relations entre des anciens, amis, et dimplomés du Campus Saint-Jean.
L'Amicale s'assure aussi d'évoluer le réseau dans lequel l'information de valeur peut être partager, et s'assure d'être engager avec l'institution pour supporter les étudians et le dévelopment du Campus Saint-Jean.
Avec le recrutement et la croissance de reconaissance pour l'Amicale Saint-Jean, le but est d'offrir des services et des opportunités qui aide les anciens, les étudiants, les dimplomées, et les amis du Campus Saint-Jean à fleurir et donner le sens d'être chez soi.
Les membres de l'Amicale inclus des anciens étudians qui ont étudiés au Campus Saint-Jean et des anciens. Les membres ont accès aux services offert par le Alumni Association de l'université de l'Alberta et ils participent dans les activités organisé par l'Amicale Saint-Jean.

Amicale Saint-Jean is an association with the goal to maintain and grow relationships between alumni, friends, and graduates of Campus Saint-Jean.
Amicale also ensures the evolution of a network in which valuable information can be shared, and ensures volunteers stay engaged within the institution to benefit students and the development of Campus Saint-Jean.
Through recruitment and building awareness of Amicale Saint-Jean, the objective is to offer services and opportunities to help alumni, students, graduates, and friends of Campus Saint-Jean to flourish and always feel at home here.
Members of Amicale include past students who studied at Campus Saint-Jean and alumni. They have access to the services offered by the Alumni Association of the University of Alberta and participate in activities of the Amicale Saint-Jean.

Custodial history

Ce fonds fut acquis par les Archives de l'Université de l'Alberta (UAA) de la part des Archives Saint-Jean, anciennement situé au Campus Saint-Jean de l'Université de l'Alberta. Le but principal des Archives Saint-Jean était de préserver le matériel archivistique qui avait déjà été acquis au fil des ans par l'ancien IRFOC (Institut de recherche francophone de l’ouest canadien) et ensuite par l’ancien IPFOC (Institut pour le patrimoine de la francophonie de l’ouest canadien).

This fonds was acquired by the University of Alberta Archives in 2019 from the Archives Saint-Jean that was previously housed at the University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean. The Archives Saint-Jean’s main goal was to preserve archival materials that had already been acquired by the IRFOC (Institut de recherche francophone de l’ouest canadien) and subsequently by IPFOC (Institut pour le patrimoine de la francophonie de l’ouest canadien).

Scope and content

Le fonds contient des documents administratifs de l'association et de la documentation relative au Collège et au Juniorat. On y trouve de la correspondence, des listes d'addresses d'anciens, des coupures de presses, de rapports financiers de l'Amicale, des photos, de dépliants, de nombreux exemplaires de journaux étudiants de plusieurs autres institutions du pays, ainsi que des albums souvenirs et des annuaires de quelques unes de celle-ci. Le fonds a été divisé en trois parties: 1) Dossiers administratifs, 2) journaux, 3) albums souvenirs et annuaires. Tout les documents sont des originaux. Les annuaires, prospectus et rapports annuels des années 1978 à 1988 ont été ajoutés par la suite.

Fonds consists of administrative documents of the association and documentation related to the Collège and Juniorat. It contains correspondence, lists of alumni addresses, newspaper clippings, financial reports of l'Amicale, photos, pamphlets, several issues of student journals from institutions across the country, and souvenir albums and registries (or yearbooks) of some of these. The fonds has been divided into 3 parts: 1) Administrative folders, 2) journals, 3) souvenirs albums and registries. All documents are originals. The registries, prospectus, and annual reports from the years 1978 to 1988 were added afterwards.
