Troops Shorncliffe, to Secure Efficiency in all Respects of the C.E.F. in England” Topics discussed in report include: Reinforcements from Canada; Training of Canadian Troops in England, and Reinforcements to France, Training in Canada, Canadian Military School, Casualties, Discipline, and General Supervision. An addendum to two of the reports were Steele’s recommendations in regard to the re-organization of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and further notes related to his concerns while serving as G.O.C. Shorncliffe Command. Several copies of the report in file, many explanatory annotations provided by Harwood Steele (1968). Typewritten.

A 47 page typewritten manuscript titled: "The Facts About My Escape From Military Prison at Bischofswerda, Saxony, Germany". The manuscript is enclosed in a paper cover, and on the inside cover is written: "To Major General S.B. Steele C.B. M.V.O. with my compliments from P. Anderson Major 101 Regiment Edmonton Fusiliers, Alberta, Canada". The memoir tells of Anderson's escape from the German military prison, and his eventual arrival in England after travelling incognito through Germany and across the Danish border.
