Stephansson's writing does not appear to be titled, possibly because it begins in the middle of the piece [breaks in the text are numbered, and the text begins with 3 and ends with 9 - numbers 1 and 2 are not present]. The panels with writing on them are numbered 2-4, written at the bottom of each panel.

The newspaper excerpt in question states that a delegation appeared on behalf of the religious education board and urged that a portion of the Bible be read every day in schools. The group “contended that it was not alone a splendid piece of literature, but also would help towards character building.” The newsletter states that the Bible does build character, and in fact, builds characters “who have willingly submitted to the lash,” and that it “stifles real progress and bound the people of the world to the dogma and traditions of dark ages.” The newsletter urges Christian Winnipeg to wake up.
