Two handwritten letters from Charles French to his wife and children. The first letter dated May 29th, 1907, was sent from Calgary, Alberta, and was written on Grand Central Hotel stationery. Charles French writes about the current state of Calgary and opportunities for making money there. He describes Calgary in a favourable light. The second letter dated May 30th, 1907, was sent from Edmonton, Alberta, and was written on The Hotel Cecil stationery. In this letter, he writes that he does not like the area at all and does not think he will stay there. The third letter, which is typed on C.A. French & Sons Grain, Flour, Coal, and Mill Feeds stationery, is written to Charles French from one of his sons, H.G. French. The letter informs Charles that he must purchase more corn. The last item is a business card for Charles A. French in Bellmont, Illinois.

A collection of cabinet cards depicting notable Calgarian figures posed in front of the same background which consists of a wolf head mounted on the wall, and various photographs hanging over a table with some books and flowers on it. All of the men in the photographs are sitting in a chair. All of the photographs were taken in Calgary, Alberta in 1893 by [R. Randolph Bruce]. These four cabinet cards and photographs are from a series of photographs taken of members of the Calgary organization known as the Pack of the Western Wolves. The first card depicts D.H. Andrews with the caption “I have used no other.” The second card depicts Dr. Lorne Campbell and the caption reads “$10 or 40 days!!” The third card depicts J. Stone and the caption reads “The farming sportsman.” The fourth and final card depicts R.W. Richardson and the caption reads “The Agricultural Monopolist.”

An insurance plan of the city of Calgary, Alberta from September 1954 which was partially revised in 1961 and 1972. This particular plan is marked as Vol. 2. The plan consists of a master title page which includes a key of signs and 55 detail sheets of the city. On the cover of the plan, there is a note indicating that the plan was made by and is the property of the Underwriters Survey Bureau, Limited. The copyright for the plan is registered in Ottawa, Ontario. The plan is listed as Copy No. 166 but there is no issue recipient listed. Each page of the detail sheets displays various streets and buildings in the city of Calgary and the colour of each building indicates the type of construction material used for that particular building. Several pages have new drawings pasted over the originals, presumably due to the revisions. This particular plan consists of residential neighbourhoods as well as industrial and retail complexes.

A collection of 18 assorted postcards all addressed to Mrs. G. A. [Lulu] Dyker, sent between 4 May 1947 and 14 Oct 1960. 1 postcard [date unclear] was sent before 1946.

10 postcards were sent by Mrs. G. A. Dyker's son Hedley "Hed" Dyker; an additional 4 postcards were written and sent jointly by Hedley and his sister Jean during a visit to Edmonton. Of the remaining 4 postcards, 2 were sent by an Olga O'Neail; 1 was sent by her daughter, Margaret "Marg" McFadden née Dyker; and 1 was signed simply "Della". The brief correspondence largely addresses travel, including the senders' arrival and departure to and from various locations and what they have done or will do there; short life and work updates; and general greetings and well-wishes.

Images include buildings in Calgary and Edmonton (Alta.), bridges in Edmonton and Vancouver (B.C), landscapes and scenery (mountains, lakes, and rivers) in Banff and Jasper (Alta.), and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police [RCMP].

WWII-era photograph of Private Doris L. Colwell of Calgary (Alta.) working at the Canadian Army Base Post Office in Ottawa (Ont.), for use with the article titled "C.W.A.C. Christmas Mail" published in Canadian Press on Tuesday October 31, 1944. Attached caption reads "Pte. Colwell has been in the Canadian Women's Army Corps for almost a year and has been sorting letters for about six months - a job that requires nimble fingers and a good memory, because every pigeon hole in front of her represents a different unit of the Canadian Army overseas, and she is sorting letters by Military Units."

Includes 1 complete sheet of 54 commemorative stamps marking the 50th anniversary of the Persons case judgment.

1946 Lethbridge "Native Sons" 77's program and yearbook gives the names and write-ups of the 1946-1947 team, with a black and white [B&W] photograph of each player. Includes the Southern Alberta Junior 'A' Hockey League Schedule for 1946-1947, and a blank score card at centrefold for a game between Calgary and Lethbridge Native Sons. Also present are greetings from Lethbridge's Mayor A. W. Shackleford, Arena Director Gordon A. Frisby, and the President of the Lethbridge Native Sons Hockey Club Ed Bruchet, and various local advertisements and sponsors.

The 1946-47 Penalty Rules are listed throughout the program, with one rule or subsection of rule listed under each player write-up.

1944 Buffaloes versus Stampeders program [No. 2174] gives the player roster, coach, and manager for each team for the 6 Nov. 1944 game. Also advertises a muskrat coat as the draw prize that will be presented to the holder of the program with the number drawn "immediately after the game". Program is missing the middle panel, and only the front and back panels are present.
