Invoices span the period of time from 6 January 1970 to 31 December 1970. Purchases largely consisted of various pieces of farm or poultry equipment and their repair (or supplies necessary for their repair) including plumbing equipment, pipes, pumps, ropes, a "Model B" and a "Model G disker", augers, an 'S.P. Swather", poultry feeders and heaters, sprayers, etc., and various small hardware.

Additionally includes 3 handwritten notes regarding purchases including a propane cylinder, "extending auger for No. 1 Bldg. [Building]", and a drive belt.

The first cheque is not numbered but is indicated to be the first cheque in the stub booklet. Two cheques are numbered "2," the distinction is also marked in the stub booklet. Cheques 31, 54, 55, 71, 71, 74, and 75 are not numbered. All amounts are within $3-$4286.

Contents largely consisted of a series of "Bulk Payment Monthly Remittance" duplicate forms from the Unemployment Insurance Commission, a series of Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Remittance Return Declarations, and receipts for various payments and purchases including stationery products, water softener salts and chemicals, newspaper advertisements, donations to the Rivers Agricultural Society, Workmen's Compensation Board coverage, a post office box renewal, course fees for an Agricultural Extension Course, and insurance premiums.

A Sing-a-Long songbook for the Canadian Empress steamboat. There are 50 songs included in the booklet. The songbook was compiled and prepared by Harvey McKend. Some of the songs included are titled “Coconuts,” “For Me and My Gal,” “The Man Who Broke the Bank,” and many others. On the inside of the front cover page, there are two advertisements for the Empress Bar and the Empress Corner Store. On the inside of the back cover page, there is an advertisement for Canadian Empress Steamboat Vacations on the St. Lawrence River, and the main office is located in Kingston, Ontario.

All of the postcards are blank on the back except for one which reads "Private Postcard" in a child's handwriting and one which includes a short message with no address information. Two of the postcards also have the year 1944 written on the back. Two have the years 1990 and 1992 printed on them. The postcards are published by various companies, including "Famous V & Sons", "Grant-Mann", "Dexter Supreme", "The Coast Publishing Co.", and "Tripix". Some postcards do not have publishers listed.

The photographs and illustrations on the front of the postcards depict various scenes such as a walrus hunt, farming scenes, cityscapes, ships and harbours, hotels [including the Empress Hotel in Victoria, B.C.], dinosaurs, animals and nature scenes, an igloo, the Golden Boy statue at the legislative building in Manitoba, the St. Boniface cathedral fire and restoration, and totem poles along with statues of an Indigenous chief and woman, among other images.

Bank receipts span the period of time from 28 February 1967 to 8 December 1967. 3 of the bank receipts are made out on "Form 1845 (8-64)" and appear to be from the conversion of Canadian dollars to U.S. dollars. The particulars of each transaction include charges for "U.S. Dollar Cheque", "Prem. [Premium?] on U.S. Funds", and "Commission", with 2 corresponding "Purchaser's Receipts" attached to the receipts dated 13 and 27 March 1967 which specify the exchange rate from U.S. to Canadian dollars and the total purchase amount. The final transaction receipt is made out on "Form 713 (2-65)" and is for the "Cost of registration of Notice of Intention to give security under Section 88 of the Bank Act".

Handwritten personal receipts span the period of time from 12 January 1967 to 21 February 1967. The note dated to 12 January 1967 describes the balance of a 1965 account with C. J. McFadden separated into "cash" and "cheque". The note dated to both 27 January 1967 and 21 February 1967 describes money owed to "Dad" [Chester McFadden] by Donald McFadden "for 398 bus. [bushels] net - Oats" and is marked "Paid Feb. 21".

The verso of each calendar page is a removable "Record Keeping Chart" [including columns for "Receipts" and "Expenses"].

Each month contains a unique, captioned full-colour photograph showing various agricultural scenes, products, or individual or group portraits of people.

A page from an official government-produced account book that has been detached and altered for use on its own. Paginated 17-18, the original title of "Truck Expenses" ("Tractor Expenses" on the verso) has been crossed out and "In Account With: H. G. Treloar" has been added, as well as the indicated year of 1965. Column titles have also been altered to read "Debit," "Credit," and "Balance." Entries appear to be carbon copied onto the page and are slightly off the lines. The year, last entry, and running total (dated January 25, 1966) are added in blue pen, and a note reading "Marked up" in red pen.

The four tabs on the annual report indicate sections for “Producer Board Report,” “C.T.M.A. Report,” “Auditors Report,” and “Promotion Report.” The name "Don McFadden" is handwritten in the top right corner of the front cover page.
