Includes a printing of Bylaw 183 from June 26, 1882, which repeals Bylaws 135 and 136, a printing of Bylaw 424 from October 22, 1888, which amends Bylaw 183, and two printed cards listing tariff amounts for the various types of services. All documents include a map of the "First Division" of the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Series documents the travels and occupations of Roger Pocock and consists of the personal papers of Pocock, including scrapbooks, diaries, correspondence, and other miscellaneous documents such as correspondence and contracts regarding the publication of his books, ephemera about his lecture series or from his travels, and documents from his services with the North-West Mounted Police and British fishing fleets. The geographical coverage of these records is global but primarily covers North-West Canada.

A notebook-like permit, "Issued under Regulation No. 12 of the Liquor Act" by the Liquor Board of Saskatchewan, to Erwin Tauk of Neudorf, Saskatchewan on January 28, 1946. The book contains pages to record purchases and provides information on the Liquor Act. Two purchases of wine recorded, both on the same date of the permit issue.

A guestbook belonging to John D. Higinbotham that contains dozens of pasted-in newspaper clippings, letters, notes, and printed photographs. At the beginning of the guestbook, there is an inscription that reads “John D. Higinbotham from his sister Alice. May 1920.” The guestbook is full of signatures of various people along with their addresses, although some sections have been cut out of the book. Most of the pasted-in newspaper clippings, notes, and letters are adhered closest to the signed name of the person they are in reference to. The names signed in the guest book were signed between the years 1920 and 1939, although some of the materials are dated as late as 1946. Nearly every included letter and note is addressed to John D. Higinbotham.

Agreements between J. Engel of Wilkie, Saskatchewan and the Canadian Pacific Railway Company to tend the gardens and grounds of the local train station, dated April 15, 1952 and May 1, 1954. Outlines duties, length of contract, wages, and other details of the position. They are both unsigned and likely the duplicate copies given to the contractor for reference.

Receipts from Taylor & Son Ltd. for purchases made by D. J. McFadden from the year 1958. Items appear to be primarily tractor parts, and many are listed as alpha-numeric codes.

Two cancelled cheques issued from the Royal Bank of Canada, made out by Donald J. McFadden to G. A. McFarlane. Cheque no. 81 is dated August 26, 1961 for the amount of $200, and cheque no. 130 is dated December 11, 1961 for the amount of $1169.17 with an underlined note in the bottom left corner that reads "wheat." Both cheques are stamped "PAID" and have "G. A. McFarlane" handwritten on the verso.

McFadden to a wide number of recipients including various family members, individuals, and businesses, as well as several that read "Pay to the Order of Cash." They are all stamped "PAID." Cheques 1, 4, 5, and 6 were attached by staple in the top left corner, but the fastener was removed and numerical order was imposed by the handling technician. Cheque [44] is not numbered. Cheque 64 may have bounced and had a potential NSF fee added. Cheques 42, 72, and 106 are of a different design, and cheques 21, 33, 44, 54, 56, and 57 are missing from the series. All amounts are within $5-$981.

Two receipts for payments made to the Rivers Farm Business Group, received by Gordon L. Ratz. The first receipt is from C. J. McFadden for "2 account books" amounting to $2, and the other is from Don McFadden for a membership fee amounting to $10.

Two bundles of receipts from J. J. Coleman, "Customs House Broker" to D. J. McFadden showing duty, taxes, exchange, and brokerage fees added to original purchase prices of items imported from the United States. Both sales were from Teel Plastics Co. Inc. in Wisconsin and consisted of artificial insemination tubes for turkeys.

Two purchase receipts and one "Sprayer Rental Service" agreement including terms from Lindenberg Bros. Ltd. to Don McFadden. Purchases were for rat poison and "wheatland hybrid blend" seeds, and the sprayer was taken out on April 26 and returned the next day.

Documents from the Workmen's Compensation Board of Manitoba. The punched card requests a payment of $65.93 "within one month from 08-04-65" is marked in pencil as "Paid by cheque - Apr 26/65." The assessment contains an entry under "Industry Name" of "Bldg Const Repairs" and an amount due of $30. It is also marked as "Pd by cheque July 2/65" and "Marked up" in Donald McFadden's handwriting. The verso includes a write-up of penalties for payment neglect and information on family coverage.

Two order forms and a receipt from Clark's Poultry Farm for purchases made by Mr. and Mrs. Don McFadden. Two of the sales are for "5 lbs detergent" by Don, and Mrs. McFadden purchased "50 feed tray."

Transaction records for purchases made by Don McFadden from Gazette-Reporter, "A Weekly Newspaper Serving a Progressive Town & District Since 1908." Items purchased are a rubber stamp, counter check book, and "100 #8 envelopes."

A collection of communications from the Manitoba Telephone System to Donald McFadden regarding service usage and costs. "Customer's Copy" receipts from each month of 1965 show charges for long distance and exchange service. A "Statement of Remittance" for $2.50 is marked "Received" and is attached to a carbon copy receipt for a half hour tractor rental. Breakdowns of long distance charges are listed by date show the receiving location of outgoing calls and the charged amount, with all entries checked off in blue pen. The backs of the sheets contain a "partial list of abbreviations" of locations within the province of Manitoba. Included is an empty envelope self-addressed to the Manitoba Telephone System, which has been crossed out and "Receipts (Income)" written above in pen, likely to be used as a divider in a filing system.

A series of receipts, invoices, and account statements from Canadian Propane Consolidated Limited to Mr. D. J. McFadden. Several of the invoices have been stamped in red ink "This account has evidently escaped your notice. May we ask the favor of an early remittance?" The July 19 invoice was signed for by Maurice Gray.

A pair of "Official Receipt" documents, one with an attached "Temporary Receipt," from the province of Manitoba to Donald J. McFadden. The one dated November 8, 1965 is a "Turkey App. Fee" for $20, and the one dated December 20, 1965 is a "Turkey Inspection Fee" for $86.40.

Bundles appear to be organized by dates around a particular excursion, and consist primarily of "Imperial Oil Limited Esso-Matic Invoice(s)" with other receipts attached. Includes a set of punched Esso credit card receipt stubs which have been stamped "PAID" by the Royal Bank of Canada. Three of the stubs are marked with the slogan "Put a Tiger in your Tank."

The sender is not indicated, but the recipients are "Pitblado, Hoskin & Co.," "Mr. J. V. Durnin," and "Mr & Mrs Maurice Gray."

The latter includes an illustration of an eagle flying while holding an American flag. Included is a "Form 1612 (6-61)" receipt from the Royal Bank of Canada for a deposit of $2000 by Donald McFadden into the account of Chester McFadden.

A pair of receipts from an unnamed restaurant, both marked at the top in handwritten red ink as "Meals for Maurice on road." There are no dates displayed, but they arrived in a box of records that were all dated from the year 1965.

A pair of receipts from Simpsons-Sears in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Items purchased have been indicated by handwritten notes and consist of "Frost Shields (car)" and "Flash Batteries." Year of purchase is not indicated and has been assumed through the receipts' proximity to other records in this collection produced in 1965.

A smaller front page, "Form 7212 (9-63)," includes the account number and displays several larger transactions during the months of July and August. The rest of the pages, "Form 7036 (7-57)," track the account activity chronologically, one page per month.
