The contents of the accession spans across almost fifty years and provides valuable insight into the development of Peel's Bibliography of the Canadian Prairies and Peel’s Prairie Provinces database. Mostly textual records and correspondence, the records depict efforts to find and select published works for the bibliographies, various stages of the book’s completion, and conversations between Peel staff and other institutions and individuals that went into the creation of the Bibliographies.

The accession comprises textual records including the written history, scrapbook, newspaper clippings, articles, notes and correspondence regarding the University of Alberta Golden Bears Football Team and the Golden Bowl game played November 16, 1963.

Consisting of a wide range of teaching and research materials created by Dr. Hiruki and colleagues during his career, this accession represents his dedication and contributions to the field of plant pathology. With materials from the 1950s to the 1990s, the accession includes images and samples of plant specimens, presentation slides, lecture notes, laboratory notebooks, conference materials and other records related to the work conducted in Dr. Hiruki’s lab at the University of Alberta, as well as awards and certificates he received. Activities that led to the creation of these records include: field research, lecture and conference preparation, and laboratory work such as experiments using inoculation and fluorescence, camera testing, and documenting the progression of disease/infection in plants. The materials are arranged in accordance with media type.

The accession comprises 180 cm of textual records arranged by series arising from specific functions of the creating office. It includes records of activities related to an array of committees and functions including Canada Research Excellence Chairs, Physical Activity Strategic Operating Committee, Facilities Development Committee, Academic Planning, Enrolment Planning Envelope,
and President's Advisory Committee and Academic Measures Advancement Reports, Records include agendas, minutes of meetings, decisions, correspondence and reports.

The Dr. Chuji Hiruki fonds is a very rich and diverse acquisition of materials depicting the life and primarily teaching and research career of Chuji Hiruki. This accession of material comprises a broad scope of records comprising mainly of textual materials reflective of his teaching, research travel and role as a professor of plant pathology during his tenure with the University of Alberta.

The accession comprises biographical records of Dr. Desmond Brown including curricula vitae, publication lists, DVD recordings and related transcripts of interviews of Dr. Brown (life-career) by Professor Dale Gibson (Professor emeritus Faculty of Law).

The records comprise the general function and activities of the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine Occupational Health Program including:

• Occupational Health Program, including organization, support, academic activities, documented in annual reports, memos and letters.

• OHP General Teaching information including classes and seminars, masters' education offerings and continuing education programs.

• Occupational Medicine Fellowship Training Program known as the "residency" in occupational medicine.

• OHP Research with a focus on the principal sciences of the field including epidemiology, toxicology, and clinical occupational medicine.

• OHP Service Agenda aimed at meeting the expectations of program sponsors and donors including the Occupational Health Consultation Clinic that continued for at least 15 years.

• Environmental research including occupational and environmental medicine with a focus on air toxins.
