A letter originally sent to Solicitors Lighthall & Harwood (acting on behalf of SBS), and regarding disagreement over outstanding monies owed for Sam's living quarters in England. The letter has been copied by hand by Marie Steele, and includes her added comments at the end of the letter.
A handwritten letter with envelope from H.D.B Ketchen in France writing to SBS in Folkestone, England. In the letter, Ketchen sends his regrets that Sam is giving up his military command and returning to Canada, and discusses further his own position in the military, and the possibility he may be sent ot England.
