Part of a group of thirteen (13) B&W photographs, mainly 10 x 7 cm, of Grande Prairie, AB. Most are annotated on the back in the same handwriting and stamped with the words “Esch’s Prints Guaranteed Not to Fade.” See also PE000436-447.
The front cover has the title: "Canada House of Commons Debates Official Report. Speeches of Mr. P.E.Wright, Member for Melfort". Below this is a b&w photograph of a man in a suit. Below the picture it reads: "C.C.F. Demands Fair Deal for Agriculture. Delivered in the House of Commons September 20 and 26, 1945." The interior of the booklet contains the speeches of P.E. Wright, given in the House of Commons, and regarding a variety of topics, including floor prices, the quota system, the Winnipeg grain exchange, export trade, etc. Booklet was printed by Edmond Cloutier, Printer to the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, in Ottawa in 1945.

Beside this title is a b&w photograph of O.W.Valleau. The remaining pages contain his speech in the legislature. The back page indicates it was printed by The Melfort Moon.
A photograph album created by an unknown person, documenting the 1910 train trip completed by Sir Wilfrid Laurier, as Prime Minister, across western Canada. In July and August, Sir Laurier traveled on a special Grand Trunk Pacific train from Fort William, ON to Prince Rupert, B.C. and back, returning to Ottawa September 7, 1910. He was accompanied by numerous colleagues, including his private secretary, E. J. Lemaire; Minister of Railways and Canals, George Perry Graham, M.P.; Edward Mortimer Macdonald, M.P.; and Frederick Forsythe Pardee, M.P.
The B&W photographs are captioned in white on the black paper pages of the album. The photographs are only roughly in chronological order. The owner of the album titled the first page, "The Grand Trunk Pacific Trip." The acronym "G.T.P." is used for Grand Trunk Pacific railway throughout the album. Minister Graham is identified in the photographs by the acronym "G.P.G."

A Notice to Show Cause from the Dominion Lands Office in Prince Albert dated August 21st, 1901, and addressed to the legal representatives of John McAllister of Melfort. The Dominion Lands agent’s signature appears to be J(im?) MacTaggart. The case is regarding a homestead at NW 2-45-17 W2. The form is marked “No. 20632, Ref. 25230.” The paper is cream-coloured and watermarked “Crown Linen.” The accompanying envelope bears four (4) postage stamps cancelled with black crayon, various date stamps from Prince Albert, a “Not Called For” stamp, and a “Dominion Lands Office Prince Albert Sept 24, 1901” purple stamp.
