One copy has had the back cover partially ripped off while the second copy has had it completely removed and the cover is detached.

Paper has been folded once in the middle, and then twice more, but is in relatively good condition;

Article concerns the work of women during the election campaigns, and their effect on those campaigns. Contains two b&w photos: one on the top right of a woman at a table writing notes on a notepad captioned: "Keeps track of thousands - Mrs. Arksey, secretary to Orivs [sic] Kennedy, Social Credit candidate, makes contact with more than 13,000 members of the Alberta Social Credit League, in preparation for the April federal election." Weaving is done in a chevron shape, with wheat tails protruding in a fan from the bottom of the chevron. Chevron is attached to another woven triangle, with a wheat woven hanger on top. Contains an information card stating: "The art of Straw Weaving is a tale of wonder and respect. The farmer would weave a straw symbol of the last grain to act as a resting place of the Spirit - thus ensuring a bountiful harvest for the following year. Today the weavings have become symbols of good luck." Card notes that the weaving was handcrafted in Alberta, and contains a date stamp of Edmonton, 2000.

Contains photographs, poetry and decorations on seasonal themes. Each page contains a short poem and an accompanying photograph of a locale in Manitoba, with a decorative illustration in the margin. A small calendar is also contained within, for the year 1915.

A painting of a forest scene in the mountains, subtitled ‘A Mountain Vista’. The frame bears the message ‘The Season’s Greetings’, and is signed by the author in pencil. On the reverse, pencil notes include the message ‘ To Mrs. McRiver and the boy who lay down the lay to her’.

Sheet music for a song titled “Indian Lullaby.” The words were written by McKellar and the music was written by W. H. Anderson. The price for the sheet music is marked as 35 cents. The dance event is sponsored by the RCMP “G Division.” The dance event time is 10:00 pm to 1:00 am and 16 dances are listed with their accompanying song. Types of dances listed include the waltz, the fox trot, and the two-step.

A program for the Thanksgiving service in celebration of the first anniversary of the Social Credit Party victory. The service was held on August 23rd, 1936 in Victory Park, Calgary. The program outlines the order of service which includes several hymns, prayers, and anthems. Several of the songs and their lyrics are listed on the other page. On the back of the program, there are four portrait photographs of Calgary Social Credit M.L.A.s. The program was published by Albertan Publishers Limited.

A program for a memoriam "In Respectful Memory of His Majesty King George V," held by Edmonton Public Schools and dated Monday, January 27, 1936. Schedule includes hymns, prayers, psalms, eulogy, message from the superintendent, and God Save the King.

A program for the United Services Concert which was under the sponsorship of the Sons of England Benefit Society at the Winnipeg Lodges. The concert was scheduled for April 26, 1941, in the auditorium of the Winnipeg Lodges. The proceeds from the concert went to the Queen’s Canadian Fund for Air Raid Victims. The program lists the order of events of the concert. The performances were done by various branches of United Services such as the army, the police, the navy, and the air force.

A French souvenir programme for the celebration of Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day on June 24, 1934. The celebration was hosted by the ACFA Régionale de Saint-Paul, a non-profit organization, in St. Paul, Alberta. The programme lists the order of events for the celebration and includes several advertisements for local businesses.

Menu and program of events for a festive Scottish event held in Winnipeg on 4 Dec. 1931. The program is written in the Scots language.

A programme for the Manitoba Historical Society Annual Meeting and commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Selkirk settlement. The meeting was held on June 26, 1962, at 6:30 pm at Lower Fort Garry. The image on the front of the programme depicts a painting by Charles Sheldon “representing the arrival of the second party of Selkirk Settlers at Point Douglas.” The illustration on the inside depicts Fort Douglas in 1817, and the photograph print depicts Point Douglas in 1962. The programme outlines the events for the evening which include greetings, and various reports from board members.

A program for the 21st birthday celebration of the Edmonton Art Club at the Hudson’s Bay Empire Lunch Room on November 6, 1941, in Edmonton, Alberta. The program includes a menu for the celebration, the lyrics for the Edmonton Art Club theme song, and several notes about the celebration. Inside the program are two art prints, one depicting a snow-covered valley and trees, and the other depicting a buck standing in front of a lake.

Front cover contains a large b&w ink drawing of four figures, three on snowshoes with one carrying a child, in a winter landscape. Caption reads: "Canada - The Uprising in the Northwest - White Inhabitants of the Saskatchewan Region Leaving a Settlement, After an Indian Raid." Remainder of the paper contains news from around the world, including Canada and the Riel Rebellion.

Vol. 49, No. 13,550 (July 29, 1893) of the Saturday Globe. The feature article “Calgary: Alberta’s Capital” provides, despite its title, a broad overview of the province of Alberta, including Edmonton, and small towns such as Olds. Accompanying photographs depict various scenes from the province, including prairie landscape shots, agriculture, and town buildings.

In addition to the feature article, a number of brief miscellaneous articles and stories are carried on the last page of the newspaper. A number of advertisements for products and businesses are also present.

Commercial Café paper menu in original plastic-window cover, edged in burgundy with three of the four gold corners intact.  Windows have dried spills.  Front of the menu includes advertisements for Barrett & Olson Men’s Wear and Bates Electric as well as the Commercial Café name and address (10333 – 82 AVE) in South Edmonton.  Menu prices are often obscured by black marker with new prices handwritten beside.  A typewritten page dated Sunday, April 25th shows specials and lists desserts such as “Flapper Pudding.”  Back page has four advertisements for Hollywood Coldwaves, McBeth Agencies, Self’s Meat Market, and Capitol Cleaners and Laundry Limited.

Menu for the Elite Cafe in Banff, Alberta. In addition to food items, the menu also contains a selection of fountain ice cream and soft drink items on the reverse. Some items and prices have been added in either pencil handwriting, or as typed text.

A menu for New Year’s Dinner on January 1st, 1917. The dinner was held by the No. 4 Company of The Canadian Scottish “In a Field” and “Somewhere in France.” The menu lists food being served such as soup, various roasts, vegetables, and sweets. Inside the menu on the first page are the handwritten names of Bob Wilson, Harry A. [Binnis], and E.B. Barker. On the back of the menu is a small illustration of candles and a mirror showing the path leading to a town. The menu was printed by The Brazier Press.

Book of 24 tickets for the “Indoor Fun Carnival” to be held in the Calgary Arena Sept. 11 – 18, 1937. Proceeds from the Carnival went to the Bigger and Better Hockey Association of Calgary. The words “Bobby [W?]hels Book” are written in pencil on the cover. Calgary, Alberta.

Program for the Winnipeg Inter-High Schools Swimming Gala, put on by the Manitoba Section of the Canadian Amateur Swimming Association. Includes a list of the gala officials on the front and a listing of the swimmers for each event.

Season Ticket for the 1954 Edmonton High School’s Senior Rugby season. Price is listed at $1.50 for games held at Clarke Stadium. Good for League Games only. Ticket is numbered 1539, and has been stamped 4 times out of a possible 5. The back of the ticket lists the dates of particular games, as well as the teams playing.

Booklet titled, "1956 Red Deer Exhibition Prize List for Ladies and Junior Activities Day, August 2-3-4." Cover is done in a thick, cream-colored paper stock with red writing, and includes ink drawings of fair activities, including a Ferris wheel, food for judging, and cows. The back cover contains the address of who the list was sent to: "Mrs. F. Grimson, Box 1115 RR 1, Red Deer." A 2 cent Canadian stamp was put over the opening upon mailing. The interior contains lists of the committees in charge, regulations for entry, and the class numbers and categories for entry. Inserted into the booklet are entry forms for the event. Manuscript in commemoration of the Golden Anniversary of Powered Flight in Canada. This is a collection of transcripts of 67 interviews conducted with pilots and flight engineers of the golden age of bush flying. These first person narrations are biographical and the manuscript's multiple parts constitute different experiences and perspectives of the birth and development of Canadian aviation, forming a comprehensive body of literature relating to the history of the Canadian aviation industry. The 64 transcripts are photocopies and vary in length. Also enclosed are photocopies of newspaper stories featuring members of the Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame, as well as a brief description of the manuscript and its origins by Tony Cashman.
