c. 1910-73: 14 8 x 10 prints in black and white, sepia, and colour. Descriptions are on back of photos, with a few handwritten sheets. Subjects include Vancouver, East Africa, BC, Belgian Lancers.

The archives consist of material compiled for Shandro's research purposes, including correspondence, other notes and textual material, various Legion publications dating back to the 1930s, photographs, artwork, and ephemera. Some items (Series 1, Folder 4; Folder 35; Series 2, Gazettes) contain French text. While some of the material relates to other commands, the bulk of the collection pertains to Canadian divisions of the Legion.
This fonds is composed of material related to the research and typescript of Roger Pocock's 2007 biography "Outrider of Empire" written by Geoffrey Pocock. Series are broken down by chapter and are organized according to the order listed in the endnotes of the book.
