At the beginning of the report, there is an introductory letter written by E.F. Newlands, the Secretary of the Canadian Committee in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The report includes an outline of the events of the meeting, a list of board members, a consolidated financial summary of the company, and an address and report to proprietors, both written by W.J. A collection of communications from the Manitoba Telephone System to Donald McFadden regarding service usage and costs. "Customer's Copy" receipts from each month of 1965 show charges for long distance and exchange service. A "Statement of Remittance" for $2.50 is marked "Received" and is attached to a carbon copy receipt for a half hour tractor rental. Breakdowns of long distance charges are listed by date show the receiving location of outgoing calls and the charged amount, with all entries checked off in blue pen. The backs of the sheets contain a "partial list of abbreviations" of locations within the province of Manitoba. Included is an empty envelope self-addressed to the Manitoba Telephone System, which has been crossed out and "Receipts (Income)" written above in pen, likely to be used as a divider in a filing system.

The first news release is an editorial from the CFAM and CHSM Southern Manitoba radio station by Bruce Gunn. The editorial was released in September 1968 and discusses "Producer marketing Boards and the proposed changes in marketing legislation in the province." The second news release was addressed to the Premier of Alberta from Gil Molgat, the leader of the Liberal Party in Manitoba. The news release is dated September 26, 1968. The news release expresses concerns about specific “plans for orderly marketing of turkeys and broiler chickens produced in Manitoba.”
The third news release is a cut-out article titled “Poultry market bid produces a dispute.” The article is attached to a statement from the President of the Canadian Turkey Federation, the Chairman of the Canadian Broiler Council, and the Canadian Egg Producers Council. The release and the statement discuss the “broad exemptions the Manitoba Government is insisting be included in the marketing schemes already approved by the vast majority of the Manitoba Turkey and Broiler Chicken Producers by free and democratic vote.”
The fourth news item is a torn-out article titled “Manitoba Turkey and Broiler Board Members Hold First Combined Meeting of Manitoba Marketing Boards.” The article includes a B&W photograph of board members, including Don McFadden. The final news release is from The Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board and was released on October 9, 1968. The release details a meeting between the Hon. Douglas Watt, the new Minister of Agriculture and the provisional directors of the marketing board.

Tanchak, chairman of The Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board. The letters are dated between April 19, 1968 and November 29, 1968. Three letters are undated, two of which are marked as drafts. The correspondences discuss various issues relating to marketing regulations, policy creation, and trade restrictions for turkey producers in Manitoba. The collection also includes a letter from a Canada Department of Agriculture Health of Animals Branch veterinarian who discusses methods for measuring the weight of condemned turkey carcasses.

The meeting dates range from June 27, 1969, to April 17, 1972, although one document is undated. The meetings were held at various locations but the most common meeting location was 1200 King Edward Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Each document lists the members of the Marketing Board and the members of the Advisory Committee who attended the meeting, except for the minutes from March 2, 1971, which merely states “Present were both complete Boards.” Donald McFadden was present at every meeting. The seller's information ["D. J. McFadden, Rivers, Manitoba"] is recorded as a stamp on the front cover of the receipt book.

Additionally includes one handwritten list titled "Oz. [ounce] Values" [list includes values from 40¢ - 48¢] on inner back cover.

Most receipts contain short handwritten notes providing additional context on poultry orders and deliveries, including marking if the bill has been paid or cancelled. Most of these notes have been initialed by Donald McFadden ["D.J.M."]; however, some have been initialed by his wife Margaret ["M.M."] or son Gordon Donald ["G.D.M"] McFadden.
