The Report and Account of the 289th Annual General Court of the Hudon’s Bay Company which was held on May 2, 1958 at Beaver Hall in Garlick Hill, London. At the beginning of the report, there is an introductory letter written by E.F. Newlands, the Secretary of the Canadian Committee in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The report includes an outline of the events of the meeting, a list of board members, a consolidated financial summary of the company, and an address and report to proprietors, both written by W.J. Keswick, Governor of the Board. The report also includes a consolidated profit and loss account of the Hudson’s Bay Company.

Attached to the back cover is a letter from Dominion Veterinary Laboratories, addressed to "Dear Poultryman," inviting the recipient to look for their products at "your local Feed Manufacturer, Hatchery, or the usual place where you purchase your Poultry Supplies."

"Customer's Copy" receipts from each month of 1965 show charges for long distance and exchange service. A "Statement of Remittance" for $2.50 is marked "Received" and is attached to a carbon copy receipt for a half hour tractor rental. Breakdowns of long distance charges are listed by date show the receiving location of outgoing calls and the charged amount, with all entries checked off in blue pen. The backs of the sheets contain a "partial list of abbreviations" of locations within the province of Manitoba. Included is an empty envelope self-addressed to the Manitoba Telephone System, which has been crossed out and "Receipts (Income)" written above in pen, likely to be used as a divider in a filing system.

The assessment contains an entry under "Industry Name" of "Bldg Const Repairs" and an amount due of $30. It is also marked as "Pd by cheque July 2/65" and "Marked up" in Donald McFadden's handwriting. The verso includes a write-up of penalties for payment neglect and information on family coverage.

The booklet is an updated version of the booklet of the same name from 1972 and provides information about the various insects and diseases that can affect rapeseed and mustard plants at all stages of growth. Each insect and disease is described and accompanied by a colour photograph. The booklet also provides solutions for mitigating or preventing these pests. There are several updates from the previous booklet to include more insects and diseases.
