It contains various editions and versions of the novel Little Women, stories written by other authors that relate to the original, and non-fiction books about Louisa May Alcott and Little Women. This subseries consists of the following sub-subseries: Little Women (1962-2011), On Louisa May Alcott (1993-2004), and Related to Little Women (1933-2011).

The subseries was compiled ca 1990 to 2011 and the arrangement is based upon the original order in which the donor presented the items. WE Harris competed in many bridge competitions. He also taught and wrote about bridge lessons for beginners, typically with HB (Brian) Dunford. The document types include advertisements, correspondence, notes, and books. Specific topics include the books: “Bridge: Direct, Simple & Winning” and “Bridge”, as well as, supporting notes.

Information for Friends, Relatives and any non-health care professional who are caring for people who are HIV+ or Living with AIDS. The material aimed at parents are brochures with question and answer scenarios and many have titles that begin with the phrase "Talking to your ..." There is one set of two from the National Safety Council of the United States: "What you should know" & "What your teenager will be learning about AIDS,"
The 'Friends' sub-series provide several examples of similar information, with titles like "When a Friend has AIDS". There is one booklet specific to the effects of HIV / AIDS related dementia with practical tips on accommodations and safety precautions.
Note that with the 'Parents' sub-series there are three items regarding sexuality that are completely unrelated to HIV / AIDS; these provide advice and answers to parents who are concerned that their child might be a homosexual. As these items are aimed at parents they are included here rather than the 'Sexuality' series which is aimed at people of a specific sexuality.

The specific topics this subseries covers are case examples of veterans and their activism in Canadian politics, work Marguerite Ritchie did while at the Department of Justice on reparations and enemy assets, research on Canadian armed forces in both World Wars, and international treaties.

This subseries contains a variety of document types including correspondence, background documentation, memorandum, notes, presentations, working papers, conference reports, House of Commons debates, newspaper clippings, resolutions, brochures, transcripts, court documents, letters to the editor, press releases, questionnaires, legislation, Senate debates, and annual reports. The specific topics this subseries covers are employment equity, disability applications under the Canadian Pension Plan, sexual harassment in the workplace, the Merit Principle, women in public service, gender discrimination, the Archibald Report on equal opportunity regardless of gender, Public Service Commission reports, Glassco Commission (Royal Commission on Government Organization), equal pay, and a brochure from the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) regarding their union representation of Bonnie Robichaud and her sexual harassment case against the Treasury Board.
The Chemistry subseries includes twenty-eight files connected to the teaching of analytical chemistry lectures and the development of Harris’ laboratories. The subseries is arranged by subject matter and ranges in date from 1951 to 1997. Although Harris taught a number of chemistry classes his most notable is his Chem 312 “Quantitative Analysis” course. This comprised a two-term introductory chemical analysis course with an extensive practical laboratory component. Document types include correspondence, notes, articles and reports on teaching and cost of running classes, as well as student evaluations with comments, thank you letters, greeting cards, course guide, lecture cards, class schedules, class tests, and class records. There are also 35mm lecture slides and lantern slides as well as transparencies. It also includes an audiotape of Harris’ last lecture to Chemistry 312 and some photographs. A large portion of the material contains early stages in the development of WE Harris' Chemistry 58 and 312 laboratory manuals, along with revisions written by Harris. Chem 58 was the forerunner to Chemistry 312. Other materials include the development of Chemistry 312 laboratory manual that was worked on with Dr Byron (Ron) Kratchovil from the Chemistry Department.
The Chronological Correspondence subseries contains 169 files of all correspondence sent out by the Human Rights Institute of Canada. Files are arranged chronologically. This subseries contains a variety of document types, predominately correspondence, along with memorandum, reports, submissions, proposals, and press releases sent as enclosures with correspondence. The specific topics this subseries covers are communications with Human Rights Institute of Canada members, conference and session planning, general activities of the Human Rights Institute of Canada, as well as Human Rights Institute of Canada stances and opinions on politics, social issues, and human rights at home and abroad.

Included are two ninety-minute audio cassette tapes of interviews with Stan Bevington and Victor Coleman and also of note, is a file related to a Coach House Press exhibition held at the Grolier Club in June/July 2010.
