The plan consists of a Master Title page which contains a Standard Key of Signs, and 61 detail sheets of the town. On the cover of the plan, there is a note indicating that the plan was made by and is the property of the Underwriters’ Survey Bureau Limited. The copyright for the plan is registered in Ottawa, copy number 28, issued to Hartford Fire Insurance Company, Winnipeg. Each page of the detail sheets displays various streets and buildings in the city of Edmonton and the colour of each building indicates the type of construction material used for that particular building. A French book titled “Sols Des Prairies de L’Ouest: Leur Nature at Leur Composition” which translates in English to “Western Prairie Soils: Their Nature and their Composition.” The book was written by Frank T. Shutt, a chemist for federal experimental farms, and published in August 1910. It was published by the order of Sydney A. Fisher, Minister of Agriculture in Ottawa, Ontario. The book is labelled as Bulletin No. 6 in the second series, and a note indicates that the second series of these bulletins focuses on information that will only be interesting to a limited number of people as it is increasingly specific. The book discusses the soil in each prairie province (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta) in different sections.

The booklet calls for farmers, farm labourers, and domestic servants to immigrate to Canada to find work and states they are “the only people the Canadian immigration department advises to emigrate to Canada” and everyone else should get definite assurance of work or employment before moving to the country. The booklet covers topics such as persons wanted for work, wages, opportunities for farming in the Prairies, times to emigrate, ocean travel rates, and letters from satisfied settlers.

The brochure provides information about various types of soybeans, their characteristics, and what the soybean plants look like at various stages of growth. The brochure also includes several bar graphs depicting soybean yield results by various planting methods in 2017. On the back of the brochure, there is the contact information for numerous SeCan retail locations across the Prairies, and a note indicating that SeCan is listed as a subsidiary of Monsanto Canada, Inc.

The personal papers of Lorne Louis Anderson Esq., a legal surveyor and engineer from Ontario. He served with the Royal Canadian Artillery during World War II where he began training as a surveyor, and later completed a degree in civil engineering from the University of Toronto. In 1950 he was "engaged in subdivision surveys on Indian Reserves in Saskatchewan and Alberta" and assisted with "mineral claim surveys in Yukon Territory." Items include correspondence, a photograph, lecture notes, an enduring power of attorney, a preliminary exam for land surveyors, certifications and membership cards, maps, a resume, promotion and reassignment notifications, and other business documents, booklets, articles, and technical information relating to the field of legal surveying.

Lynn Ogden for a portrait of the former Prime Minister of Canada and explains the delay. The photograph is autographed, dedicated "with best wishes" to Mr. Ogden, and dated July 15, 1969. The envelope also bears the politician's signature in stamp form, as well as a 1st class mail label, a note that reads "Photograph - Do Not Bend," and Mr. Ogden's Edmonton, Alberta address.

The collection also includes two newspaper clippings. One article details a farm policy, and the other is titled “Farm setup under attack.” The name D.J. Correspondence sent to and from SBS in his capacity as Major-General, C.B., M.V.O., Canadian Headquarters, Shorncliffe, England. The correspondence, largely confidential, continues to revolve around SBS’s now imminent retirement, and his handing over command to Major-General G.J. Cuthbert on the first of March 1918. Letters, usually confidential, are sent to colleagues and military personnel, explaining SBS’s situation, and his request that he be allowed to remain in England for three months after his retirement, and not immediately return to Canada. Included is the copy of a Resolution passed by the Folkestone Town Council regretting Steele’s retirement, and wishing him all the best; and copies of SBS’s letters of thanks sent once he accepts the retirement order will not be overturned; included are explanatory notes by Harwood Steele (1968) about some of the correspondence found in the file. A pamphlet titled “War-Time Production Series: Package Bees” by C.B. Gooderham from the Bee Division and Experimental Farms Service of the Dominion Department of Agriculture. The War-Time Production Series was issued by the Agricultural Supplies Board in Ottawa, Ontario. The pamphlet is marked No. 3 and was published in 1943 by the Dominion Department of Agriculture in Ottawa, Ontario. The pamphlet provides information about package bees from the Southern States “for the purpose of establishing new apiaries, strengthening weak colonies in the spring and for replacing losses that may occur through poor wintering or from disease.” The packages contain approximately 5000 bees per pound. The pamphlet covers ways to place an order, time of arrival, care packages upon arrival, and regulations governing the importation of bees.

Leader’s Handbook published by the Canadian Council on Boys’ and Girls’ Club Work in Ottawa, Ontario. The handbook is meant for volunteer leaders of Girl and Boy Scout troops. The handbook covers topics such as local club organization, first steps in forming a new club, responsibilities of officers, committees, and members, special community activities, programme planning, parent interest, and common parliamentary procedure among others. There are several B&W photographs throughout the handbooks as well as an illustration of the National Crest. On the first page of the handbook is a blue stamp from the Office of the Agricultural Representative in Altona, Manitoba.

The letter refers the recipient to the document, which outlines the policy on bonuses and commissions to those engaging in "immigration work" with special mention of the Doukhobors, and denies preferential treatment to foreign settlers over Canadian citizens in regards to homesteading land distribution, among other agency-related issues.

The copyright for the plan is registered in Ottawa, Ontario. The plan is listed as Copy No. 78 but there is no issue recipient listed. Each page of the detail sheets displays various streets and buildings in the city of Red Deer and the colour of each building indicates the type of construction material used for that particular building. Several pages have new drawings pasted over the originals, presumably due to the revisions. This particular plan consists of residential neighbourhoods, industrial and retail complexes, and main streets.
