Series documents some of the travels of Pocock and consists of photographs, postcards, and negatives. Images are primarily of the Canadian North-West along with portraits of Pocock and others, and photos of Mexico, Canadian Prairies, and Noway. Images were either taken by Pocock or purchased during his travels and usually correlate to the places he visited, as documented through his scrapbooks, diaries, and published autobiographies. Series is arranged chronologically into nine subseries: Portraits, Images of British Columbia, Journey from Fort Macleod to Mexico City, Journey with Randle Cecil, Images of the Canadian Prairies, Journey to Spitzbergen, Images used in Chorus to Adventurers, Semi-Retirement at Charterhouse, and Trip to Canada.

Subseries documents the journey of Pocock and Randle Cecil. Randle Cecil (1889 - 1917) was son of Lord Rupert Ernest William Gascoyne-Cecil, Bishop of Exeter, and in early 1913 Lord Gascoyne-Cecil asked Pocock to act as a guide and chaperon to Randle during an exploration of the Pacific North-West. They traveled mostly by horseback from Calgary, AB, to Red Bluff, CA, over the later half of 1913. Subseries contains photographs and postcards of the locations they visited, and perhaps intended to visit, as well as some people they met (mostly unidentified). It is arranged chronologically into three files: Images from unknown locations, Images from Alberta and British Columbia, and Images from Washington to California.

"Rancho Don Carlos" depicts a well-dressed young couple embracing and kissing on the dance floor. The woman is wearing a backless dress, white high-heeled shoes, and a cuff bracelet and jeweled earrings. The man is wearing a light-coloured suit and glasses with thick frames. Other dancing couples can be seen in the background.

"The New Highwaymen" depicts 4 well-dressed adults, 2 men and 2 women, smiling while seated around a table with plates of food, drinks, and packages of cigarettes on the table in front of them. The men are wearing suits. The women are wearing dresses or blouses with jeweled necklaces, earrings, rings, and brooches.

Collection of photographic prints and photo postcards largely depicting Northern Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Yukon ca. 1900-1911. Photographs generally depict daily life in Northern Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Yukon, including images of the Hudson's Bay Company post at Peace River [1904]; the former school building in which the "first agricultural show" was held; a dogsled team delivering mail to Fort Vermilion [1908]; Peace River Crossing [1911]; men whipsawing lumber; men building a wooden boat; a steamboat; a group of people riding on a log barge; a group of people in a canoe; a woman driving an ox-cart; homesteads; portrait of 2 men posing with vegetables; a portrait of a woman standing outdoors; a church; and a large group photograph [possibly a wedding?].

A few exceptions to this theme include 3 photo postcards depicting "Ox-team at Fort Benton", "Jerk Line Mule Train" and "Walls of Old Fort Benton" at Fort Benton [Montana], and "A Serious Case of Gold Fever" - a photographic print of a woman and boy mining for gold at Nome Beach [Alaska] attributed to photographer Eric A. Hegg. Additionally, a full-colour photo postcard depicting the burning of the sternwheelers Casca and Whitehorse on the Yukon River, attributed to photographer George Tumpach, is significantly newer, as it depicts an event that took place in 1974.

A booklet provided by the Government of the Dominion of Canada containing photographs, maps, and predominantly agricultural information intending to encourage settlement in the western provinces. Published prior to 1905 and the present-day provincial configuration, the maps display boundaries for the territories of Assiniboia, Athabasca, Mackenzie, Franklin, Keewatin, and Ungava. The title reads "Homes for Millions in Western Canada's Vast Agricultural Domain of Virgin Opportunity and Infinite Resources."

A booklet with in-depth information regarding farming and homesteading opportunities in Western Canada, "the Granary of the British Empire," published by the Canadian Pacific Railway Department of Natural Resources. It covers Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia and contains photographs of geographical features and agricultural functions. A large fold-out map is tipped-in after the last page and shows "system of land survey and lines of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company."

A pamphlet titled "Land Seekers Guide also Free Homestead Lands along the Grand Trunk Pacific in Western Canada," dated August, 1912. Provides information and photographs of southern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, to encourage settlement of the area. Map is stamped in red ink to indicate railways, and includes notes on how to "find lands on the map" and "in the field."

A B&W photograph of a massive miniature model of The Holy Land with two American flags hanging beside it. A sign in the background of the photograph indicates the model in a masonic hall in Detroit, Michigan. The caption on the photograph states that the model is made up of about 60,00,000 pieces and 1100 electrically moving figures. The model was created in Edmonton, Alberta by the Gauci Brothers Builders. They started building the model in 1914 and it took them around 10 years to complete. In the top right corner of the photograph is a composite photograph of the faces of the two brothers and their names captioned underneath. Joseph W. Gauci was the originator and designer, and Salvator Gauci was the mechanical supervisor. The model was so popular that it toured around Canada and the United States of America for nearly 40 years.

Scrapbook pages that contain various paper ephemera. The first page contains five B&W photographs of the Government Dry Dock in Port Nelson, Manitoba from 1915. One of the captions on the photographs states that the photographs were taken during the building of the dock. The second scrapbook page contains a pencil drawing of several travellers and a camel. On the verso of that page is a B&W group photograph captioned “Port Nelson. Engineer’s Staff. Xmas Day. 1914.” The last four pages contain three watercolour paintings by an unidentified artist. The first painting depicts the Nelson Shoal in Hudson Bay and was painted in 1915. The second painting depicts the Benmore ship in Port Nelson. The last painting depicts “A Calm Evening on the Nelson” and was painted in July 1915. On the back of the last page is a coloured pencil drawing of flowers.

A mounted photograph of a returning [Manitoban?] soldier dressed in a South African [Boer] War uniform and slouch hat. The soldier is also wearing a bandolier and holding a rifle. The medal pinned to the soldier's chest closely resembles and is possibly the Queen's South Africa Medal, the campaign medal awarded to those who served in the Boer War.

A loose collection of photographs and photographic postcards. Predominant subjects include horses, farming equipment and activities, children, and vehicles. One photograph shows some sort of canoeing event, and another is stamped "Genuine Sparkleton Prints, Regina Photo Supply Ltd" and dated September 28, 1926. Several photographs have been mounted onto black card album pages and then cut-out, retaining pieces of other photographs on the verso. Legible captions include "myself harvesting, not very clear," "Bill at Brighton," and "Herbert + the mare + colt. This is Kate the mare and colt 12 days old and roses, mother as well was taken at bounty fair fancy this mare having one colt."

A fold-out map is tipped in before the first page "showing the lines of the Canadian Pacific Railway" in southern B.C. and Alberta, and includes some of northern Washington and Montana. Another map printed on the inside of the front cover shows the C.P.R. across Canada, and another closer view of the area around Ottawa, Ontario showing "Eastern lines and connections," dated February 2, 1905. The name C. Green is handwritten on the top of both front and back covers, as well as on page 5 and dated September 4, 1908.

One map is titled "Main Routes to the National Parks in Alberta and British Columbia" and the other shows National Parks across Canada.

An advertisement book and program for the Optimists Club's Boys' Town annual meeting at Western Canada High School in Calgary, Alberta, dated May 26-27, 1954. It consists primarily of advertisements for local businesses, with the event program on a single-sided orange page in the center. Also includes a foreword, "The Optimist Creed," a photograph of the Royal Family, messages from Mayor D. H. Mackay and Chief Constable L. S. Partridge, a list the board of governors of the Calgary Optimist Club, captioned photographs of school sports teams, and information on some of the scheduled performers.

A small vignette photograph booklet titled “Edmonton Alberta and Alberta Farm Scenes, 1906.” Inside the booklet is one long foldout page with a different vignette photograph on each fold. Some of the photographs included are of the Alberta Hotel, McKay Ave. School, the residence of John McDougall, the Canadian Bank of Commerce, and the Windsor Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta. The booklet also includes some text that outlines Edmonton’s growth over the previous four years and “Alberta’s Progress in Dairying.” All of the photographs were taken by C. Tait in Edmonton, Alberta, and the booklet was published by W.A. Dawson in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

A small collection of materials related to G.F. Landon, a carpenter and builder in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The first item is a photograph of a group of five men standing in a room and holding various carpentry tools. The next two items are advertisement cards. The location of the office is listed on both advertisement cards as 64 Fort St. The first card has a big red circle on the front that lists their telephone number as 172 and has a list of Manitoba legislature members on the back along with their constituency and political status. The second card advertises G.F. Landon’s services such as house-building, estimates given, additions, alterations, and repairs, and general carpentry work, and there is a list of towns and their distances from Winnipeg, Manitoba on the back.

A brochure for the dedication ceremony of the Northlands R.C.M.P. Commemorative Theatre, dated Wednesday, July 18, 1979. Includes information on the theater, a brief history of the 'A' Troop march from Roche Percee to Fort Edmonton in 1874, details of the preview of the proposed film "The Force" that was shown at the ceremony, photographs of Supt. W.D. Jarvis, Sgt. Major S. Steele, Inspector J. D. Moodie, and Sgt. Maj. A.H. Griesbach, a map of Western Canada, and a list of thanks to movie personnel, RCMP officers, the Edmonton NWMP Historical Attraction Advisory Board, and Northlands executives. Laid-in is another brochure announcing plans for the Northlands' Theme Village, scheduled to be completed in 1985. The front shows an illustration of a statue of Sgt. Maj. A.J. Griesbach and the back is a map of the location of the Theme Village within the Northlands' grounds.

A small folded booklet titled “How the Loyal Employees of a Winnipeg Factory Supported Victory Loan On Opening Day.” When the booklet is unfolded, it reveals a B&W panoramic photograph print of a large group of employees of the Swift Canadian Company Ltd. The caption reads “500 Loyal Employees, or 94 per cent of the Swift Canadian Co. Ltd. have bought Victory Bonds– 80 per cent of these people are of foreign birth. Who can refuse to buy VICTORY BONDS.” The Swift Canadian Company Ltd, founded in 1911, was located in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was a wholesaler for a variety of goods such as meat, dairy, and poultry. Victory Loans or Victory Bonds were Canadian government appeals for money to assist in financing the war efforts for WWI and WWII.

A collection of 20 B&W photographs of various places in the Canadian Rockies. The photographs are thought to have been taken by Samuel J. Hayward in the 1920s. There are photographs of Lake Louise, Baff National Park, Bow River, Mt. Rundle, Castle Mountain, Johnston Canyon, Valley of the Twin Peaks, Mt. Assiniboine, and Moraine Lake.

The album largely consists of exterior and interior photographs of prominent buildings across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, with detailed captions explaining the services provided by G. F. Stephens & Co. Ltd., as well as buildings where G. F. Stephens paints and varnishes were manufactured, and copies of testimonial letters written by commercial businesses regarding the company's work.
