A booklet titled “Insect Pests and Diseases of Rape and Mustard” published by the Rapeseed Association of Canada in November 1977 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The booklet was prepared by Dr L. Burgess, Dr J. Dueck, Dr G.A. Petrie, and L.G. Putnam from the Agriculture Canada Research Station in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The booklet is an updated version of the booklet of the same name from 1972 and provides information about the various insects and diseases that can affect rapeseed and mustard plants at all stages of growth. Each insect and disease is described and accompanied by a colour photograph. The booklet also provides solutions for mitigating or preventing these pests. There are several updates from the previous booklet to include more insects and diseases.

A small collection of news releases related to The Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board. The first news release is an editorial from the CFAM and CHSM Southern Manitoba radio station by Bruce Gunn. The editorial was released in September 1968 and discusses "Producer marketing Boards and the proposed changes in marketing legislation in the province." The second news release was addressed to the Premier of Alberta from Gil Molgat, the leader of the Liberal Party in Manitoba. The news release is dated September 26, 1968. The news release expresses concerns about specific “plans for orderly marketing of turkeys and broiler chickens produced in Manitoba.”
The third news release is a cut-out article titled “Poultry market bid produces a dispute.” The article is attached to a statement from the President of the Canadian Turkey Federation, the Chairman of the Canadian Broiler Council, and the Canadian Egg Producers Council. The release and the statement discuss the “broad exemptions the Manitoba Government is insisting be included in the marketing schemes already approved by the vast majority of the Manitoba Turkey and Broiler Chicken Producers by free and democratic vote.”
The fourth news item is a torn-out article titled “Manitoba Turkey and Broiler Board Members Hold First Combined Meeting of Manitoba Marketing Boards.” The article includes a B&W photograph of board members, including Don McFadden. On the back of the article are unrelated profiles of various people.
The fifth news release is from The Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board and was released on June 28, 1968, regarding a general policy statement. The aforementioned general policy statement is attached to the release and dated June 27, 1968.
The sixth news release is from the Manitoba Farm Bureau and was released on October 9, 1968. The news release outlines a letter that was sent to Premier Walter Weir regarding the government’s “position in regard to permitting agricultural producers to establish effective marketing plans under the Natural Products Marketing Act.”
The final news release is from The Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board and was released on October 9, 1968. The release details a meeting between the Hon. Douglas Watt, the new Minister of Agriculture and the provisional directors of the marketing board.

The plan was created in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Each page of the detail sheets displays various streets and buildings in the town of Banff, Alberta and the colour of each building indicates the type of construction material used for that particular building.

M. Isa in response to a request for information on blackhead disease. It includes the author's opinion that the recommended medications "act as a vermifuge and eliminate the caecal worm which carries the infection."

A collection of meeting minutes for joint meetings between the Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board and the Turkey Advisory Committee. The meeting dates range from June 27, 1969, to April 17, 1972, although one document is undated. The meetings were held at various locations but the most common meeting location was 1200 King Edward Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Each document lists the members of the Marketing Board and the members of the Advisory Committee who attended the meeting, except for the minutes from March 2, 1971, which merely states “Present were both complete Boards.” Donald McFadden was present at every meeting. The minutes relate various topics discussed at the meetings such as the weight of broiler toms and turkey hens, pricing policies, storage stocks, dead-on-arrival birds, and production percentages.

Douglas, Acting Manager of the marketing board on October 3, 1968, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The newsletter is marked as Volume 1 and discusses the appointment of the Provisional Board and their efforts to get a specific marketing plan approved by the Provincial Government of Manitoba. The second newsletter does not list an author’s name but was written on December 13, 1968, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The newsletter is marked as Volume 2 and discusses the long-awaited approval of the Manitoba Turkey Producers’ Marketing Board plan by the Provincial Government of Manitoba. After much deliberation, the plan was approved on December 9, 1968, approximately. The first memo does not indicate a specific author, but was written on June 27, 1968, and outlines a general policy statement. The second memo was written by R.O. Douglas on [July 4, 1968], indicating that the Department of Industry "requesting that a representative participate in a press conference." The third memo was written by John Tanchak on July 5, 1968, and reports that those wishing to vote on the marketing plan must be registered as a turkey grower.

When translated the English, the title of each publication is “Calendar.”The first volume was published in 1918 and the second volume was published in 1919. The covers and binding appear handmade from hide. The two volumes when translated to English contain articles about current events and cultural events relevant to the Ukrainian settlers in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Throughout the volumes, there are multiple illustrations and photographs. The volumes also include several advertisements for local companies.

A printed copy of a speech delivered to the Historical Society of Manitoba by vice-president Charles N. Bell on May 4, 1888. It consists mostly of quotes and summaries from a work titled "Journal of Alexander Henry to Lake Superior, Red River, Assiniboine, Rocky Mountains, Columbia and the Pacific, 1799 to 1811, to establish the fur trade" and focuses on the time period between July 1800 and June 1801 and Henry's interactions with the Saulteaux (Ojibwa, Nakawe) First Nations people. There is a second document included in the booklet between the cover and first page titled "Transactions and Proceedings of the Historical and Scientific Society of Manitoba, from it's Organization in 1879 till the close of the Society's Year 1888-89; being Transactions Nos. 1 to 34, and Annual Reports for the Years 1880-1888." It consists only of the first leaf of what was presumably another booklet and contains the table of contents.

A printed newsletter accusing the Winnipeg Newspaper of ridiculing the Bible in a satirical tone. The newspaper excerpt in question states that a delegation appeared on behalf of the religious education board and urged that a portion of the Bible be read every day in schools. The group “contended that it was not alone a splendid piece of literature, but also would help towards character building.” The newsletter states that the Bible does build character, and in fact, builds characters “who have willingly submitted to the lash,” and that it “stifles real progress and bound the people of the world to the dogma and traditions of dark ages.” The newsletter urges Christian Winnipeg to wake up.

The card claims he had walked more than 52,000 miles on foot and had 24,000 miles left to win the "World's Championship" and the $100,000 prize. Sales of these cards were his "only means of subsistance" and provided purchasers with the rules of the competition.

Also included in the envelope is a leaflet titled “Phosphorus Fertilization in Crop Production,” written in 1979, and another leaflet titled “Nitrogen Fertilization in Crop Production,” written in 1983. The last materials included are an information sheet titled “Calculating Nutrient Costs and Fertilizer Rates,” and two more information sheets titled “Handling Anhydrous Ammonia Safely” and “Herbicide/Fertilizer Mixtures.”
