An artistic rendition (potentially watercolour) of Batoche's House in Saskatchewan, also known as Letendré House, built in 1879 and originally belonging to François-Xavier Letendré dit Batoche. It was used as a barracks by both the Metis and Northwest Mounted Police during and after the Northwest Resistance of 1885. A note on the back of the frame reads "D. W. Light."

Partridge, a list the board of governors of the Calgary Optimist Club, captioned photographs of school sports teams, and information on some of the scheduled performers.

Images were either taken by Pocock or purchased during his travels and usually correlate to the places he visited, as documented through his scrapbooks, diaries, and published autobiographies. An informational booklet on a variety of poultry diseases including nutritional, bacterial, viral, fungous, and protozoan diseases, as well as parasites, reproductive disorders, cannibalism, etc. Laid-in before the first page is a letter addressed to Don McFadden from J. M. Isa in response to a request for information on blackhead disease. It includes the author's opinion that the recommended medications "act as a vermifuge and eliminate the caecal worm which carries the infection."
Clandinin, Donald RobertA pamphlet titled “The Budding and Grafting of Fruit Trees” described and illustrated by D.S. Blair, Arthur Kellett, and W.L. Kerr from the Division of Horticulture, and M.B. Davis, a Dominion Horticulturist. The pamphlet was published by the Canada Department of Agriculture in Ottawa, Ontario in 1944. The pamphlet provides information about budding and grafting fruit trees and covers techniques for root grafting, frameworking, bridge grafting, inarching, and cleft grafting, among others. Each technique is accompanied by several captioned photographs. The name D.J. McFadden is handwritten in the top right corner.

Vancouver Fraser Port AuthorityA children's illustrated rhyming book about the evolution of transportation in Canada, provided by the Canadian Pacific Railway to young passengers. There is a blue card attached to the last page that reads "A Secret - This little book has been printed especially for the many Children who travel on the Canadian Pacific. It is all for them except the next two pages which are for Mother, Father or Grown-ups only - Tear off at perforation and the secret is out." The perforation has not been opened, but is known to contain information on dining accommodations available to passengers travelling with children. The inside of the back cover contains photographs of Canadian Pacific Hotels and a list of hostelries.
Canadian Pacific RailwayA small folded booklet titled “How the Loyal Employees of a Winnipeg Factory Supported Victory Loan On Opening Day.” When the booklet is unfolded, it reveals a B&W panoramic photograph print of a large group of employees of the Swift Canadian Company Ltd. The caption reads “500 Loyal Employees, or 94 per cent of the Swift Canadian Co. Ltd. have bought Victory Bonds– 80 per cent of these people are of foreign birth. Who can refuse to buy VICTORY BONDS.” The Swift Canadian Company Ltd, founded in 1911, was located in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was a wholesaler for a variety of goods such as meat, dairy, and poultry. Victory Loans or Victory Bonds were Canadian government appeals for money to assist in financing the war efforts for WWI and WWII.

The handwriting on the back, which is barely legible, reads “ À notre bonne maman avec les meilleurs souhaites de bonne année, Sérénine & Eugénie. Edmonton, Alberta, 1e Janvier 1895” which translates to “To our good mother with best wishes for a Happy New Year, Sérénine & Eugénie. Edmonton, Alberta, January 1, 1895.”
Mathers, Charles WesleySubseries documents the journey of Pocock and Randle Cecil. Randle Cecil (1889 - 1917) was son of Lord Rupert Ernest William Gascoyne-Cecil, Bishop of Exeter, and in early 1913 Lord Gascoyne-Cecil asked Pocock to act as a guide and chaperon to Randle during an exploration of the Pacific North-West. They traveled mostly by horseback from Calgary, AB, to Red Bluff, CA, over the later half of 1913. Subseries contains photographs and postcards of the locations they visited, and perhaps intended to visit, as well as some people they met (mostly unidentified). It is arranged chronologically into three files: Images from unknown locations, Images from Alberta and British Columbia, and Images from Washington to California.
A pamphlet titled "Land Seekers Guide also Free Homestead Lands along the Grand Trunk Pacific in Western Canada," dated August, 1912. Provides information and photographs of southern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, to encourage settlement of the area. Map is stamped in red ink to indicate railways, and includes notes on how to "find lands on the map" and "in the field."
Grand Trunk Pacific Railway CompanyA collection of assorted postcards of various sizes. All of the postcards are blank on the back except for one which reads "Private Postcard" in a child's handwriting and one which includes a short message with no address information. Two of the postcards also have the year 1944 written on the back. Two have the years 1990 and 1992 printed on them. The postcards are published by various companies, including "Famous V & Sons", "Grant-Mann", "Dexter Supreme", "The Coast Publishing Co.", and "Tripix". Some postcards do not have publishers listed.
The photographs and illustrations on the front of the postcards depict various scenes such as a walrus hunt, farming scenes, cityscapes, ships and harbours, hotels [including the Empress Hotel in Victoria, B.C.], dinosaurs, animals and nature scenes, an igloo, the Golden Boy statue at the legislative building in Manitoba, the St. Boniface cathedral fire and restoration, and totem poles along with statues of an Indigenous chief and woman, among other images.

In 1950 he was "engaged in subdivision surveys on Indian Reserves in Saskatchewan and Alberta" and assisted with "mineral claim surveys in Yukon Territory." Items include correspondence, a photograph, lecture notes, an enduring power of attorney, a preliminary exam for land surveyors, certifications and membership cards, maps, a resume, promotion and reassignment notifications, and other business documents, booklets, articles, and technical information relating to the field of legal surveying.

A small series of photographs of Mrs Sarah Webb’s 100th and 105th birthday celebrations. The newspaper clipping, which includes a B&W group photograph of friends and family surrounding Mrs Webb, is from 1967 and recounts Mrs Webb’s 100th birthday celebration. Her birthday is listed as July 30th, 1867. The clipping states that Mrs. Webb was born in England, and moved to Saskatchewan in 1908. At the time of her 100th birthday, she was residing in Kaslo, BC. The newspaper clipping indicates that Percy Orrell took the photo. The loose B&W photos show Mrs Webb’s 100th birthday celebration where she was presented with roses and a certificate signed by the late Governor-General Vanier and Miss Judy Lamarsh. The colour photos show Mrs. Webb seated in front of a large white sheet cake and the writing on the cake indicates it is her 105th birthday. Included in the collection is a yellow envelope addressed to Mr. Percy Orrell in Mirror Lake, B.C. from the photo department at the Nelson Daily News in Nelson, B.C.

A small vignette photograph booklet titled “Edmonton Alberta and Alberta Farm Scenes, 1906.” Inside the booklet is one long foldout page with a different vignette photograph on each fold. Some of the photographs included are of the Alberta Hotel, McKay Ave. School, the residence of John McDougall, the Canadian Bank of Commerce, and the Windsor Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta. The booklet also includes some text that outlines Edmonton’s growth over the previous four years and “Alberta’s Progress in Dairying.” All of the photographs were taken by C. Tait in Edmonton, Alberta, and the booklet was published by W.A. Dawson in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Inside each card is the same holiday greeting message. None of the cards have been signed.
A program for "Indian Days" in Banff, Alberta, dated July 17-20, 1941. The schedule includes a "Tribal Parade," races and rodeo events, "Chiefs' Parade," a church service, and evening concerts. History, acknowledgments, admission fees, and two photographs of Indigenous people are also featured.

The letter is from Letellier, Manitoba and dated May 5, 1931. It is signed by Ed Comeault, great great grandfather of professional hockey players Owen Pickering and Denton Mateychuk. Addressed to J. E. Evans Esq. in Walsingham, Ontario and requesting hockey cards to be made from a submitted portrait of the team. It is written on a thick, cloth-like sheet of paper.
Five of the images from Victoria Beach have been developed as postcards, including the dog and snowy house scenes.

Laid-in is a newspaper article on the event from the "Saskatoon Star-Pheonix" dated Tuesday, May 9, 1961, that includes two photographs of attendees, a description of the centerpieces, and a summary of the speech delivered by Mayor S. L. Buckwold. On the verso is an article citing recommendations from the Dominion Experimental Farm at Indian Head on which fruits will be best to grow that year.
