General note

Listed on cover as no. 98. One of several stories in issue. American Eagle, a Native warrior, comes to Canada to help a friend charged with killing a R.C.M.P. officer. The story is noteworthy in that the action is framed by Louis Riel and the Metis resistance in the North-west.

General note

American Eagle first meets his Canadian friend - Jock MacFindlay, a fur trader - in "Ride with the Redcoats," vol. 11, no. 3 (July-August 1952). The Lund Comics Collection also holds this issue, and it is described separately in the finding aid.
