The Dr. Chuji Hiruki fonds is a very rich and diverse acquisition of materials depicting the life and primarily teaching and research career of Chuji Hiruki. This accession of material comprises a broad scope of records comprising mainly of textual materials reflective of his teaching, research travel and role as a professor of plant pathology during his tenure with the University of Alberta.

The accession consists of one file folder comprising correspondence of Dr. James William Pearce.

The accession comprises 180 cm of textual records arranged by series arising from specific functions of the creating office. It includes records of activities related to an array of committees and functions including Canada Research Excellence Chairs, Physical Activity Strategic Operating Committee, Facilities Development Committee, Academic Planning, Enrolment Planning Envelope,

The contents of the accession spans across almost fifty years and provides valuable insight into the development of Peel's Bibliography of the Canadian Prairies and Peel’s Prairie Provinces database. Mostly textual records and correspondence, the records depict efforts to find and select published works for the bibliographies, various stages of the book’s completion, and conversations between Peel staff and other institutions and individuals that went into the creation of the Bibliographies.

The accession comprises textual records including the written history, scrapbook, newspaper clippings, articles, notes and correspondence regarding the University of Alberta Golden Bears Football Team and the Golden Bowl game played November 16, 1963.
